My goodness, what a wonderful home. Close to the beach, close to restaurants, close to the grocery store. Nestled between Wilmington and Jacksonville. The home was very clean, perfectly appointed and well stocked with essentials. Wow, what a yard. Sorry we didn't get to use it more. Thank you for the hospitality. We hope to stay here again.

This is our second stay at Melinda’s house. It feels like home. Everything is familiar . It’s just like being at home and doesn’t feel like being on vacation where everything is strange. Our grandsons live in the area and this house is perfect for spending time with them. Just a little skip over to the beach and everything that you need. Stores, restaurants etc all right ther around the corner. I almost don’t want to tell everyone about it because I want it to always be available when we come!

The house was cute and cozy. The beds are very comfortable. The host is great to work with and replies very quickly. We didn't have any complaints. We would definitely stay here again.

The house and property are very clean and taken care of. Located in a quite neighborhood and a very easy commute to shopping, restaurants and the beach. The enclosed backyard gives plenty of privacy for using the grill and fire pit. This was our 2nd year staying here and we'll definitely be back

We had a perfectly wonderful stay at this delightful, cozy home and can't wait to come back. Centrally located to shops, restaurants and all you need in addition to being close to the beach!
The home is well appointed with everything you need and then some. Plenty of games and books to keep you entertained for a nice evening at home or on a rainy afternoon. One delightful surprise was the coffee table that had a lift top, revealing MORE games!
The host and property manager were amazing at communication and helping to resolve any issues that arose in a timely manner.
10/10 would absolutely stay again.

Surf City Off Island Retreat was the best VRBO home we have stayed in to date. Everything was clean. The home was well stocked for cooking and even had some beach supplies (shovels, buckets, boogie boards, chairs). There were lots of books and games. It was a perfect space for our family with 3 little ones. The big back yard was also great for the day we wanted a break from the sand. Hosts were prompt to reply to questions and very helpful in finding things in the area.
Location was perfect- 3 minutes to Walmart and restaurants. 6 minute drive to the beach with plenty of parking. There is a good bit of traffic on the weekends, but during the week it was minimal. The neighborhood was nice and quiet.
We highly recommend checking out the turtle hospital during your stay!
We can’t wait to come back next year!

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had picked the perfect place to relax and enjoy some time away at the beach. The house was spotless and the neighborhood was quiet. Everything was perfect for our family, including for our toddler who loved staying at the “hotel house.” The hosts thought of everything, and we enjoyed being close to whatever we wanted to explore. Can’t wait to stay again.

This was the perfect stay for us while in Surf City area. I loved the home. It was clean, and decorated very nicely. Hosts left goodies and very responsive. It was exactly as described. We travel to the area to see family and will definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our family of 6 (teenagers and adults)! The neighborhood was very quiet, but close to town and the beach. The house had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels. It's a very nice, clean, comfortable house. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area!

This is such a cute house! It was very clean and had a nice sized yard with a fire pit. Close to everything and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Our host was amazing, would definitely stay there again and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Now that I have your attention. The property was great. The only issue I had was, location. I wanted somewhere closer to Wilmington. Poor planning on my part. All the amenities were great as well. There is plenty of parking. The fenced backyard is large and flat with chairs, grill and a place to clean your feet from the beach before going inside. There are plenty of cooking utensils.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. We could not have rented a better place to stay for our family vacation. Within minutes of everything but out of all commotion. Quiet neighborhood and relaxing retreat. The host thought of everything possible. The beds are extremely comfortable. The property was affordable. We will definitely rent again. If I could give it 100 stars I would.

Well appointed and comfortable home in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and even had beach towels and chairs available. Did i mention only minutes to the beach?! All around great place to stay...highly recommend!

The listing does not do this property justice— it exceeded our expectations!
The kitchen is completely stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, serving dishes, spices, and even a Crockpot! It’s really nice to not have to worry about bringing these things from home, or having to run out to get them. There is also a closet stocked with beach items. Everything about this rental made it so easy to have a relaxing, great time with little preparation and packing on our part.
We will be recommending this rental to others and hope to come back someday! Thank you!

We found our new favorite place to stay close to family and the beach. It will be our go to rental if available when we come to town. The Edenfield family were a pleasure to work with and rent from. My kids loved the the beach and sand toys. This rental has everything you need. My daughter loved the shampoo dispensers in the showers. I had to order some for our home.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The home is comfortable and the basic supplies were great. A couple movie nights on the couch together, after days at the beach, were so nice. The location was a short driving distance to the stores and beach access. The neighborhood was wonderful and quiet. Would absolutely stay here again!
