The riad one of the prettiest we came across. And the staff was always there for us. Especially the pool on the terrace was a lifesaver on the hot days.

The staff had little English skills. The price is in our eyes to high for what was offered. You should only book this riad if you plan on using the pool. Otherwise there are similar but cheaper options in fes.

Stunning Riad set in Fes. Friendly and helpful staff (especially the concierge!) in every aspect. They even washed our rental car which was a lovely gesture. Sunset was gorgeous up on the roof top, the pool heavenly on a warm day. A 15- minute walk to the Medina .

On the expensive side for Morocoo but we enjoyed our stay. There was a basketball court right outside our window which was quite noisy for a few hours on the day of arrival however the next couple days were much quieter.

Riad Semlalia is a beautiful place to stay. It is easy to get to by taxi and has close access into the Medina. The accommodation has been designed with exquisite and intricate artisan work, from mosaic floors, plaster carving and cedar wood design. The pool is a blessing on those hot days, along with comfortable places to relax. Idris, a staff worker in the Riad, looked after every aspect of our stay. He was a guide, served us our meals, translated for us and informed us about what to look out for in the Medina. He even organised train tickets for us. A wonderful man. Thank you Idris.

what an amazing experience. I stayed there for 4 nights, and it was just like a dream. The riad has been just restored, and looks brand new. Service is incredible. For sure I am coming back.

The most beautiful placed we have ever stayed at. Everything is perfection here, it feels like you are a king or queen in a palace. We were amazed by all the details and stunning architecture. Triss was a very good and caring manager and each of the staff members went out of their way to give us the perfect experience

Our stay at Riad Semlalia was perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Idris was so lovely and accommodating, and the owner even drove us to the train station when we checked out! The location is quiet, a quick walk to the Medina, and easy to get a taxi from for excursions outside the Medina. Food was fabulous (we had breakfast there daily and we were provided with different options each day, and dinner on two nights), and the riad itself is stunning and the room was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely riad

Everything was great!

The inside of riad is gorgeous and the room has a nice sitting area and spacious bathroom. Best of all was the pool on roof!

the Raid is so beautifully decorated you do not want to leave. The staff are brilliant and the food was great. It was easy to get to with onlya short 100 meter walk form the taxi to the Raid. loved the roof top pool nice and refreshing

Whats not to like?

Amazing staff, Imeno and Adris were so friendly and always offering extra care. They helped me book taxis, they made me fresh lemonade, and would pack me breakfast if I had to leave the Riad early in the morning! Super clean. Great location, far enough away from the busy city center but close enough to still walk there. The rooftop pool is a great way to relax.

Riad Semlalia was our favorite stay in Morocco! The place is absolutely stunning and the service is like staying with family. Driss helped us through every step of the way — serving us complimentary mint tea and cookies, organizing an affordable Medina tour and giving us tips on how to navigate Fes — all in excellent English with the kindest smile! We love Driss!! The building is so beautiful. In true Fes fashion, there is a great appreciation for traditional Morrocon artisan work all throughout. It was not hot enough this April to dip in the pool, but we enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful rooftop. There is also a most picturesque archway of flowers at the entrance to the Riad (makes it easier to find after walking through the winding Medina) and greenery all around the Riad — Ahmed does a great job taking care of the place. Also, this Riad just reopened after the pandemic during Ramadan and is fully renovated! The rooms were clean and comfortable! The owners of the Riad are so kind and treat their guests like family. For example, on our first night, a couple was celebrating an anniversary and the staff organized for all the guests to come out and celebrate with cake and tea. And, when my French was not perfect, the owners were more than happy to communicate with phone translation and made sure we organized a taxi and early breakfast when we had to catch an early train in the morning. We also enjoyed dinner here one night and two breakfasts — the portions were very generous and the food was so fresh and tasty! 5/5 Would definitely recommend a stay at Riad Semlalia !
