Great place to stay. Easy access to the lake. Great towels in bathrooms.

Location is awesome being right next door to the marina and having a nice dock was a huge plus too. Hot tub was nice. Fishing was a little screwed up due to the huge rain they had a few days before but we still caught several bluegill, crappie, and a few bass. Watersports and swimming was great in this lake. Only complaint about the house is that the bedroom with the sliding glass door stays about 5-10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. One of our days we went to Ferne Clyffe State Park which is an awesome place to check out about 20 minutes away. Overall great trip!

Clean simple house close to the marina. Would stay again.

This house is fairly priced compared to most nearby. It's lake front and has two docks, one with a swim ladder and the other is covered. The location is on a quiet cove, but only a few minutes idling away from the main channel. We liked being right nextdoor to Macks Marina for ease of launching and parking at the house dock. Inside the house is tastefully decorated and fully livable. All three bedrooms are on the second floor along with a bathroom. The lower level of the house has a living room, dining, eat in bar, kitchen, laundry and full restroom. We enjoyed sitting outside and grilling while our teens swam. The only thing I would like to see the owners change is the size of the three beds. They're all queens or maybe fulls. The bedrooms are big enough to have kings or add bunks. The teen boys ended up using the floor and a couch because they were too big to share the small beds. I would definitely rent again for my family of six, but we'd bring air mattresses.

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was heated and ready to go when we arrived. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly. The lakefront lot is very flat all the way down to the water. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall house was great but i cant give the property a great review bc of poor communication of owner and his apparent lack of care when we had an issue. I had contacted the owner before booking to make sure the hot tub was working, after reading some reviews that they had issues. I would be paying $300 more for the weekend to stay in his house vs a very similar one on the same lake d/t this one having a hot tub(as that was important to us). He said it was. He even sent me a message the day we were checking in saying that the hot tub would be ready for us on arrival. When we got there, it was not hot. We were disappointed after wanting to get in after a long day of hiking. My husband followed the electrical conduit and realized the breaker had flipped so he flipped it back, which turned it back on but it didnt heat up until the next evening. I notified the owner that it was in fact not hot, and he literally never replied to my message. Not even an apology. Honestly, we thought he should refund some of our money but would have been happy with even a simple apology. Nothing!

We stayed the weekend of October 21st and lucked out totally with super warm weather for our group of 4 celebrating birthdays. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock and hanging out by the fire. The house was SUPER clean! We ordered takeout from the Mexican restaurant that was walking distance next door at the marina, and it was very good food with large portions. Enjoyed the wine trail that was super close to the house too. Overall, we all give thumbs up and can't wait to come back.

This home provides good rest and relaxation. The hot tub was especially appreciated after hiking the nearby trails in Shawnee. The beds and kitchen were all that we needed to recharge for the next day of exploring. Owner indicated he doesn’t provide check-in information until 1 hour prior when I reached him by phone 4 hours prior since I had not heard anything since notified of instant booking. There were no problems. This is just a heads up if you are a planner like me.

Darling cabin right on the lake! We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back. The cabin had everything we needed. The boat dock was great for fishing and parking our boat. The hot tub was a amazing! Just perfect!

We knew this was close to Mack’s Marina where we planned to rent a boat but we didn’t realize it was right next door. We were able to walk to get the boat then pull it up on the boat slip with the house. The convenience of loading and unloading from the house and not needing a vehicle was awesome!! Plus the marina had any last minute needs and a Mexican restaurant which was also very convenient!

Great location right on lake, with 2 docks. Caught a lot of fish right off dock. Hot tub was great at night. The boat dock was great for storing our kayaks overnight. Garden of the Gods only 45 minute drive away, and worth the trip. Wish we would have booked more nights.

The house was as listed and was clean. There was not clear instructions for check out so we just put the towels in the laundry and took out the garbage. The only thing that could have made it better was laundry detergent, dishwasher pods to do dishes, and tin foil for clean cooking but there is a dollar general close by to go and buy whatever you need for the stay. Overall we had a great time and would consider coming to stay again in the future.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. The marina being right next door is huge for anyone bring a boat. We will be returning!

I loved property. My family and I was able to enjoy the enclosed back porch. The best part was sitting in front of the fire place.We enjoyed when gathering downstairs no one had to run stairs to use restroom. The layout overall was perfect especially since we had children. The only negative about the property was oven was dirty.

Very comfortable with nice furnishings. The hot tub & fireplace were such nice amenities especially during our January stay. Plenty of towels provided & comfortable beds. Needs hooks in bathrooms. Overall clean however stove & refrigerator need major clean. We would stay there again, lovely views.

Great experience

We loved the location of the house and being on the lake. The living room furniture is very comfortable as are the beds. That being said, the sheets had dog hair on them, everything was very dusty and there are even greasy toddler sized handprints on the wall in the master. The kitchen could've been stocked with more everyday items. There was only one hand towel to split between the two bathrooms. The pictures show a boathouse which is not there and also shows a gazebo like thing over the outside table which is not there. The back sunroom smells like mold. I feel with being charged a cleaning fee for leaving we should arrive to a clean home as well. We made the best out of our weekend but I don't think we'd stay there again.

We stayed here and went to wineries and enjoyed the hot tub and the view! One of the bedrooms is super small but other rooms are good size. We enjoyed the extra space outside as well. There was zero check in information; and it took us a day to figure out how to get the hot tub to heat up properly so a welcome booklet would be nice, but overall had a great stay.

My husband and I needed a getaway weekend for fishing and rebooting. I saw the property listed and knew right away we needed to stay here. Unfortunately there was no check in information other than where the key was located. There was no information written down as far as password for WiFi, what cable channels were available and where everything was. After waiting for 8 hours I finally received a text from host with the password and other than how to operate the hot tub we were in our own. We checked out before the check out time (had no idea what time that was) stripped the sheets off the bed and took out the trash. We put the key back where we found it and never heard back from host until 8 hours later. It was a perfect getaway I wish there was more information from the owner/host so we could have benefitted from all that was available.

Great house, hot tub, fireplace, dock. Next to marina. We tented a pontoon and a lily pad. Our kids had so much fun. Had full kitchen, plenty of towels and beds were super comfy.

This is a fun property that had everything we needed. Our nine year old enjoyed finding great hiding places. This was our first time to Lake of Egypt. I found boaters on the lake to be polite. Property boat dock is in good shape, And right next to the marina

Great little property on the lake. It’s a little shallow off the dock. House was nice and as described. We enjoyed our trip and didn’t have to reach out to the property manager at any time.

Just visited the area for a few days and enjoyed the stay.
