The river cottage was perfect for a couple’s weekend get away! I’ve always enjoyed Sperryville, but staying in the downtown made me love it even more!
The cottage is right next door to a coffee shop and at the beginning of a trail that takes you along the river to all the sights.
Very comfortable and clean. Will stay again!

This property has everything you could want for a wonderful weekend stay. It is very comfortable and well appointed. An actual 2 minute walk to the Three Blacksmiths! My only upgrade wish - a king size bed - plenty of space for one.

This beautiful space epitomizes peace and harmony. A serene, comfortable room with all amenities artfully tucked away, a charming village with good food and riverside paths for walking, lots of friendly locals, plus music if your timing is right. Everything is here for a relaxing weekend.

The Good - Great communication with Host and response time to requests were quick. Good location to places in Sperryville, many within walking distance.
The Not So Good - Need to do something more about the ants. While there were several traps in the bathroom, the kitchenette had ants with no visible traps.
Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the River Cottage.

Loved the history of the building and beautiful cozy renovation. My wife and I enjoyed grabbing drinks nextdoor in the morning and enjoying them on the river!

Perfect location for our dinner at Three Blacksmiths! Woke up and had breakfast and coffee next door and walked the river path which is right out the door. Walked through town and visited local shops and finished our morning in Little Washington. Our next stay here will include hiking during the day, dinner again at Three Blacksmiths and will definitely visit the local pizza restaurant a quick walk down the street for lunch.

The Cottage was a perfect getaway. We had an incredible dinner at the Three Blacksmiths and then walked the short distance to the cottage for our overnight stay.

The River Cottage was the perfect place to get away for our 10 year anniversary. The space is small and cozy without feeling cramped, at all. We watched movies, walked the trail and enjoyed coffee on the deck for two peaceful days. Thank you so much!
P.S. The coffee shop next door is amazing too. They accommodated my allergies without question and made the best oatmilk latte with honey Ive ever had!

Property was as advertised and clean. Checkin was easy. I appreciated the upgraded toiletries and kitchen essentials. Great proximity to Sperryville and Little Washington.

My wife & I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked. It is right next store to a nice café and you can easily walk to the other restaurants in town. It is also a short drive to Skyline Drive.

It was a nice comfy little cottage within walking distance to shops. Clean and comfortable. We loved the deck and pergola too.

The location in the middle of the tiny town of Sperryville was ideal for walking around the restaurants, cafes, and galleries, The place was clean, fresh, modern, and nicely appointed. And the separate deck overlooking the small river was ideal for coffee in the morning and wine at night after a long hike. We plan on returning soon.
