Awesome little place for a quick getaway to the beach. Beautiful views of the water and super peaceful atmosphere. Me and my husband will be back again.

Clean, spacious studio with kitchenette and shower room. Coffee machine on big desk, comfortable bed and couch. Lovely views of the marina from the French doors which open onto a private balcony.

We were very happy with our stay at Captains Quarters. And we loved exploring Cape Charles. We’d love to come back and bring our kids next time.

Fun location - fully working marian lots to watch from the expansive deck - super cool for a couple small kitchen and deck made it fun just to hang out in room - spent a weekend there and everything was within a close walk/cart ride - Smitty was more that accommodating and very responsive

The location of the VRBO was perfect. Very close to town and the beach. We loved being on the marina and watching the boats come and go. The balcony is definitely the best part of the rental. We were a little disappointed when we checked in and saw large stains all over the carpet and couch though. It made us feel uncomfortable about the cleanliness of the place and definitely isn't seen in the pictures. Bed was okay though and bathroom was clean. Also just to note the only mirror is a small one over the bathroom sink (no full length) which made getting dressed for a wedding a little difficult. Easy check-in process and very friendly people. Can't beat the view!

We really enjoyed this stay. The room is bigger than you can tell from the pictures. The balcony was used a ton! Our host was extremely helpful and made our stay very nice.

The porch overlooking the harbor was quiet and relaxing. We spent mornings and evenings on it.

The Captain's Quarters is perfect for a short stay in Cape Charles! It's just a 2 or 3 minute drive or golf cart ride (or a 5 minute walk) from Mason Avenue and the beach, with a beautiful balcony view of the harbor, and all the fascinating activity that goes on there, including the neighboring Coast Guard station. The studio apartment was clean, quiet, and spacious, with all the basics in the kitchenette - including coffee pods and condiments for the Keurig! The countertop ice maker is really convenient - a perfect complement to the mini fridge. There are so many great restaurants in Cape Charles that you don't need a full kitchen for just a few days. Smitty is the perfect host, even though he runs a busy marina. He's always friendly and ready to chat about Cape Charles, the marina, or the history of the area. Renee is super helpful at the marina office, always ready to answer questions. We highly recommend The Captain's Quarters if you're looking for a quick getaway to beautiful Cape Charles!

We loved our stay and will coming back

A group of us were taking a long adult weekend away. This listing was PERFECT. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. We came by boat, rented a golf cart, and it was amazing. The pictures don’t do this place justice.

We had an amazing time in the Captains Quarters. The space was a lot bigger compared to what we expected with plenty of room to spread out. Everything and more was provided for us. I was worried about how hot it was and not having ice to cool down my water, and much to my surprise there was a great ice maker in the kitchen area. Our favorite part of the property was the view from the deck. The sunsets were gorgeous and we had the best view in the whole marina. The owners were extremely nice and so accommodating. They even left us some awesome arrival goodies, which came in handy when we went to the beach. I even left one of my dresses in the closet and Renee went above and beyond to quickly let me know and ship it back to me. Overall we had an amazing experience and will certainly be back again!

From the perfect balcony to the views - it may not be the largest of VRBO properties in Cape Hatteras but it was perfect for our weekend of fishing. Would recommend this spot and love to stay again!

Great view of harbor. Interesting to watch coast guard station go through daily boat checks and readiness. Quiet and comfortable bed. Satellite TV service is spotty at best but we only usually watch TV for and hour or so before bed.
