This place was amazingly clean! We used the large bedroom on the 2nd floor, it was very comfortable!! Turned on the fan and opened a window and you could hear the birds in the morning and saw the moon peaking through the trees at night. The deck outside was a lovely spot to read a book, enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the view. The home is wondefully laid out, kitchen, bathroom, dining and family was so comfortable and lovely. We didn't get in the water, but biked both days we were there, the Paul Bunyan trail is so close. I recommend this location and this lovely home. Hosts were very quick to respond. Our only issue was the TV, they use Roku, we don't use apps at home so had some trouble finding what we wanted to watch. I am sure others wouldn't have the same issue. 5 stars!

We decided to head up north for my son’s 24th birthday. It was me, my wife, daughter and son in law and their 18 month old. The property was so awesome. It was adorable with knotty pine everywhere. It was clean and just perfect. We had a fire going in the cabin most of the time we were there. The owners were so helpful and accommodating to everything we needed. We even saw a deer run through the yard by the lake. We will definitely be back!

Was a great time

We have been renting cabins for over 20 years and were looking for a cozy cabin with spectacular views to rent for a long weekend to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Red Pine Hideaway did not disappoint. The whole cabin is decorated beautifully and feels very homey and relaxing. The owners have thought of everything from a well stocked kitchen to cozy spaces to relax or read a book and a well stocked game cupboard. The view of the lake from the living room/dining room and deck are gorgeous. It is also nice to be close enough to walk into town. We would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the lake and fire pit and also can imagine how cozy and wonderful it would be to visit in the winter. We will be back for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - sitting on the deck was like being in a treehouse!

Our stay at the Bast's cabin was memorable. Everything has been thought of so all we had to do was enjoy our time. The cabin worked well for us (4 adults & 4 teens) - very clean, well decorated and well appointed with amenities inside and out. The spaces were situated for time together and separate. We chose to rent the pontoon for our stay and so glad that we did. We used the pontoon for cruising and swimming with the lily pad. We also brought our own paddle boards and fishing boat which were perfect to use on Sibley. It is a clean lake with other people, but never felt too busy. Other highlights were biking to Nisswa for ice cream / shopping and dinner out at the Quarterdeck Resort with live music. Carla was very responsive and helpful; it is apparent that they love this cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at the cabin. The cabin was very clean and well designed. The deck was large enough for all of us to hang out and we also enjoyed the nightly campfire. The location of the lake was great and we enjoyed kayaking to Mayo Lake, pontooning/fishing around Sibley, and visiting the sand bar just across from the dock. The lake wasn’t overcrowded and water was refreshing. We also enjoyed our walks around the lake and into town. Location was great in that we were 3 minutes away from groceries but still had the remoteness of a cabin. The rooms were nice and we had plenty of room for six. There is only one bathroom, but with six people, that was never an issue. The owners were also great to work with. I would highly, highly recommend this property and we hope to come back in the future.

Property was perfect for us! Had access to lake, fire pit, nice deck, and plenty of space to hang out in the cabin. This property had all the space and amenities for the 7 of us without any issues. Location was excellent- 5 mins to downtown Pequot lakes for restaurants, groceries, etc and short drive to gull lake for more options. Plenty of great golf courses within 20 min drive. Would definitely stay at this property again!

The property is beautiful and decorated with care by owner. The single bath is not ideal for a large group but manageable for short stay. Unfortunately, dealings with the owner made for a negative experience. Hopefully she will learn that not all guests are intent on causing harm to her property and some of us are actually honest and good people who would like to be treated respectfully.

Absolutely loved this property and our stay! The place was exactly as advertised/shown. Loved the decor - very clean, comfortable and homey! It had everything we needed/wanted in a property in a great location. Carla was great - on top of everything. Would highly recommend this property.

We loved everything about Red Pines Hideaway! Every detail is thought through inside this cabin--from towel hooks to coasters to family games. As guests we could arrive and just enjoy the very scenic spot. Sibley lake is fabulous--at moments serene and relaxing and also lively and well-enjoyed by other boaters. We really liked the size and depth of this lake for boating and swimming. And the sunsets! Red Pine Hideaway is west-facing so sunsets on the docks are outstanding. Our hosts Carla and Greg were so hospitable--easy to contact and generous in their preparations for us. We can't recommend this cabin rental enough: it's the perfect spot for family and friends to enjoy some time in lakes country MN. Thanks to the Basts for hosting!
