Great home in a fantastic location. It’s more on the local side, so you have hardly any traffic but also have some gorgeous views. Clean place and would definitely stay again!

The location is on the quite/local side of the island which was so magical. The security of the neighborhood was nice. The floor on the main floor was pretty dangerous in the kitchen, with pieces sticking up which several people tripped on but no one was hurt. The ice maker on the fridge didn’t really work properly but was a minor inconvenience. It was a place to rest our heads and have laughs in the backyard and the yard was peaceful. There was some kind of animal however leaving poop in the backyard near the hot tub on several different nights. Overall an amazing time in Hawaii and grateful for people who open their homes for travelers but some advice before the next people stay to improve on.

Our friend group stayed at the property last week, the location is gorgeous - you can see the mountains out of your back porch and the view is so unreal - it almost looks fake, like a screensaver pic. The house is awesome, has all the things you would need for a long stay with a group of friends/family. I cant stand staying at other rentals with 4-5 bedrooms and they have one frying pen and no salt at the house. This place was stacked up, the kitchen had plenty of spices and cooking utensils, oils, coffee - everything you can possibly need in a kitchen to cook! On the way there Uber driver told us all the scary things about the area - it is a little ghetto-ish around, but the house in an absolutely gorgeous gated community which is about 10 min drive from the town centre and surrounded by a golf course and is very safe and absolutely stunning!

Nice well maintained home in a great location.

Our family of 9 (6 adults & 3 kids) stayed in this home for a week while on Oahu for a family event/vacation recently. It is very much as described, and yes it met our needs, but we probably wouldn’t stay there again for a few reasons. While the Mākaha Valley area is definitely beautiful with its impressive mountains & the blue Pacific off in the distance, it is a LONG LONG WAY from everything! We put a lot of miles on our car rentals. All the attractions on both the North Shore & on the southern side of the island are 1-2 hour drive. Plus traffic is terrible. There is a local beach within 3 miles that is nice, but not very welcoming for non locals. It was fine during the day, but don’t think it would be safe after sunset. There is a reason this newly built neighborhood is in a gated & security guarded community. My guess is the locals did not want this new construction in their valley. The area of Waianae is on the FAR west side of Oahu & is pretty rough. While Hawaii is the Aloha State, Waianae & this side of the island is not very non local friendly. There are a lot of tent dwellers living on the beach & places I would not feel safe visiting. For a house that is only 2 years old, it had some issues. Poor construction is obvious though out the house. I’m sure the constant wind whipping through this valley does its best to beat everything to death. The window awnings are broken & beat the house through out the night. Sounds like… to be continued

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property description was accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities. The property was clean but one had to take necessary precautions of not attracting ants and flies. Would have been great if we were told this in advance. Check in process was easy and it was easy to find the property. I would definitely recommend the property to friends and relatives.

The property was comfortable and clean with a few minor issues that were eventually remedied. The owner responded and followed up.
