The property is in excellent condition and immaculate. The staff is exceedingly attentive and readily available. We would definitely book for another 6 night stay . . . In a heartbeat!

For a property this exclusive, we should have been told that the restaurant would be closed the two days we were there. In addition the house car was not available. Our water and towel were not replinshed. And one day were told the wine at happy hour was free and the next day we were told that was false. Not a good look for a $$ hotel.

A well appointed room and very comfortable. The breakfast delivery was a treat.

I went for peace and quiet and solitude and it was everything I was hoping for. Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Free water in the mini fridge Cookies every night Excellent ocean view Walking distance to downtown (though they have a shuttle) Full size toiletries in the shower Soaking tub Spa on site Room service I felt pampered, but left alone, which was perfect. Could not have been happier.

Wonderful short stay and a great location

Property was well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is far from dining and shopping options, but transportation is available. The view and access to the ocean is excellent.

Beautiful property, nicely updated feels like a european hotel by the sea, modern rooms and bathroom. Kind staff, quiet , easy to walk to downtown carmel. Great breakfast and it was my birthday and they provided complementary champagne.

This was a great hotel. We loved it for our anniversary stay in Carmel. Breakfast in our room every day. then long walks along the beach to town. We have stayed in Carmel many times- this was the best.

This property was in the perfect location to walk to the beach. It was very quiet and the staff was amazing. Room was on the smaller size but will definitely visit again.

This is a lovely place with well-trained and kind staff. However, our ocean view room had an ugly construction site in front of the ocean view. While that is not the "fault" of the hotel, we paid too much for the "view". The room was nice, with great amenities and comfort. We appreciated the free shuttle, too. But ultimately we were disappointed with the limited menu dining option and the "view".

I adore this property! Since its renovation, we have been loyal guests of this hotel. Its secluded location away from the hustle and bustle has always been a highlight for us. Beautiful amazing place right by the beach. Quiet with really comfortable pillows and a 20 min walk to down town Carmel and 1 minute walk to the beach. If I was made of money I’d sleep here every night!

Room accommodation was outstanding as was the service. I wish the bar would stay open past 8:20 pm and that the fire place wasn’t turned off at 9:00 pm even when reception area is open 24 hours. Wanted to sit outside and relax after a 8 hour drive and have a glass of wine only yo be told that the fire pit had to be turned off. Breakfast food and service was outstanding

We only stayed here one night as we were making stops down the coast of California but we would’ve stayed for a week if possible with how amazing this hotel was! The staff were very friendly, helpful and improved the overall experience. The property is beautiful and set one street over from the Carmel Beach which makes for easy beach access! The room was very clean/modern and is definitely a luxury experience! We highly recommend staying if you are a couple in search for a hotel in Carmel!

Great beach view

The property is beautiful but we had a terrible experience. We checked in and did not get ocean view which we paid for, the room smelled horrible. We were downgraded to a different room for the night so we could sleep and then got the suite for the next night as a recomp. Not the best experience

The Carmel Beach Hotel is the very nicely refurbished/updated Colonial Terrace Hotel. We have stayed in the old property and now the new one. We really enjoyed our stay, the place has been very nicely updated. Outstanding location 1 block from the beautiful Carmel beach. We chose a room on San Antonio and had a small terrace with a clear ocean view. Excellent! Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was very nice (real breakfast, not a cold boiled egg and a bagel). We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

A lively property and good service, though room was small and TV frustrating for the weird remote and some missing channels.

Location is incredible and the hotel and grounds are very nice, as were the staff! Would have been perfect except for the location of our room. We had a small ground level room that faced a small Tree covered courtyard, people would walk right by our window to get to the next building, so we didn't have any privacy and if we closed the shades it was dark and encapsulating. Would recommend some secondary shades that allow light in but provide privacy. There were some string lights in the little courtyard as well that would shine in the windows all night, were told they were on a timer, though I don't believe they ever turned off at night. I wish we had asked for a different room. At checkout I needed to pull up my original booking receipt to have them charge me the accurate resort fees previously agreed to. I would absolutely stay here again however! would just be mindful of my room location next time.

Loved having the car service to town and back! As seniors, this was a treat! Staff was friendly and attentive. We felt well cared for and spoiled. We plan to return here as our new home away from home🎁💖

Amazing location close to the Ocean for morning walks! Tasty breakfast with you stay! Super modern clean room great parking! Temperature in the room was a little hard to set. We had a window that couldn’t close so a draft in the bathroom. Also, the front door had a bit of a gap underneath also had a draft! Definitely would stay again!
