Parking was horrible. Needs updating. Great staff.

Eventually, this hotel will be pretty good. But right now, it's chaos. They have no phones in the room. There is no way to call the desk. The phone number they had in the room went to a past owner! Why did we need to call the front desk? THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE ROOM. We slept in our clothes. When we went into the office the next day, they gave us the correct phone number and a discount for our stay, so rather than switching motels, we stayed. They replaced the batteries on the thermostat and put new information in the room.

price was reasonable compared to other motels. no microwave or fridge in room.

Dumpsters and thrown out furniture in the parking lot right by our room. Peeling paint on the room entrance door. The ceiling light over the table does not work despite changing lightbulb. They should not be booking rooms until renovation done

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. They are just starting a big remodel of half the rooms so it will be much newer in the rooms soon. Enjoyed our stay

There was a little construction going on which takes up some of the parking, but everything else was great. By the way the Aspens were gorgeous.

I think on big events you should get a Ponderosa parking pass for property parking. We had a big truck with a trailer and guest from the event driving normal cars were parking in the Ponderosa “Trailer parking only” parking spots on property. Staying in this hotel we had to park wayyyyy down at the end of Main Street and walk to our hotel. These parking spots should be more monitored for paying guests only.

Property was dated, needs a little touch up, but was still cozy and convenient to local area. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom needs a cosmetic makeover, but is functional. Staff was “Great” and made check in a breeze. Price is reasonable Would stay again, and would recommend it to others, with the above advice and expectations.

The hotel is old and falling apart. Bed was rock hard. What angered me the most is when I'm sitting in the caved-in futon, my husband is dressing, and the cleaning lady's MOTHER freakin came into our room WITHOUT KNOCKING!!!!! Then had the audacity to be rude to me about it!!!

Check in was fast, easy & professional. Everything was within walking distance.

States there is a full kitchen in every room that was not true. Could not shower peacefully water would go from freezing cold to blistering hot.

Mixed review. Room was very clean and staff was excellent. Building is old and noisy, especially the plumbing. Parking is very limited. That said, I would stay there again.

The staff

Over all, we enjoyed our stay. It is basically smack dab in the middle of town, so easy walking distance around town. Place was clean. Front office staff was nice, as well as the house keeping staff. The main parking lot is a bit cramped, Ave if you leave for any reason, the chances of having a place to repair is slim to none, so you have to be mindful of that. Our room had a hot water heater in the closet, which made popping noises all throughout the night, which made it tough to sleep through the night, at times. That was really the only negative. I'd stay there again.

The location. The property was old and the furniture was old.

Room was nice, being elder a ground floor room would have been better than hauling suitcases up the steep stairs and back down again

I did not like that i had to close window because of people smoking weed right outside our room It was warm no ac and having a child with me pot smell unacceptable

Everything was good.

Room was great. Clean and functional. Very quiet in a noisy part of town. The office was attentive and courteous ! Just a one night stay but very nice experience.

I enjoyed the experience. It was my girlfriend’s first time in Red River. Great experience and the hotel was clean and friendly. The only complaint was the children running up and downstairs on Saturday night, but that is ok. If one complaint I thought the place had a hot tub, but that was years ago. Otherwise, great experience.

Property is showing its age. It is outdated and does not have AC. In July during a heat wave that made for an uncomfortable night.

Check-in was great. Front desk was attentive. Pet-friendly=dogs bark all night. Walls super thin. I feel like we "watched the movie with our neighbors" although we did not plan on it. Next door neighbors were loud and the dogs smelled through the locked adjoining door. The lodge itself is great, clean and comfortable. It is right across the street from a brewery which was convenient but the live music was LOUD! Maybe I'm old, but if you want a quiet, peaceful stay, this is not it.

No air conditioning. No fridge. You have to leave a box fan in the open window to get any air. Lights from the walkway light up the room making it hard to sleep, since you have to leave the window open. Water in the shower cycles from very cold to scalding hot and you have to keep adjusting it. It's certainly in a convenient spot, but we wouldn't stay here again.

The room was great! It had a full kitchenette and plenty of room. Very clean and peaceful.
