Spent most of our time at Pool & pool bar.(w/large refrigerator an added bonus for all those drinks!) Docked boat at house, so much easier. Loved the house and all the amenities! We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

We had 3 separate families stay here! We loved this property! We brought our boat and traveled everywhere! The manatees in the lagoon were a wonderful treat to enjoy with coffee! Watch out for the unwelcomed local raccoon visiting though! He loves anything he can snack on! But he wasn’t a bother! The staff were working on a relocation for this guy!! Beulah was so wonderful to work with! She helped us with all our needs when we needed anything! She was kind enough to bring us power steering fluid to fix a minor issue on our boat too! Talk about grateful!! The sunsets, beach, and island were amazing! The local bar and restaurants were just what we needed for a break from the kitchen! This was a wonderful way to spend time with our families making memories that will last a lifetime! Side note! Bring tons of water! Sunscreen, and bug spray!

Our family loved our stay at Rum Cove. The house has a great location on a canal where we were able to dock the boat we rented from Boats and Fun conveniently at the house. Beulah met us at the ferry and took us right to the house, we arrived on the island early so this was a huge help! Hanging out at the pool was a favorite activity every afternoon after being out on the boat and the nature preserve right behind the house is a beautiful backdrop. We had lots of Manatee visit at the dock and even a dolphin! The house had everything we needed and the separate apartment was a hit with our teenagers. Overall a great relaxing week away from everything. Bring your bug spray and swim suit and your all set!

This is our second year on the island and we can’t say enough good things about our stay at Rum Cove. From the booking process to our check out the experience was nothing short of perfection. The location of the property is unbeatable, especially with younger kids as they could easily walk to Mangos or the NCIC on their own. Having a pool on our property was the icing on the cake and made for a perfect way to wind down the day and have some fun as a family. Also, being right on the canal provided extra entertainment for the kids as they were able to fish whenever they wanted, which was a huge hit! Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and a huge shout out to Andrew who was always there if we needed something. We will be back!

Our family and friends had an amazing time at Rum Cove and would definitely visit again in the future. There is a lot more planning than you realize that go into staying at Rum Cove and the communication with both the property manager and the maintenance gentleman who was the homes prior owner was amazing. They were SO accommodating and helped us resolve some minor issues quickly. We Love Rum Cove and the island experience

Our family of 5 adults and 4 children (5 and younger) enjoyed our week at Rum Cove immensely! The weather was great, the calm breeze cooled the effects of the warm sun, the layout of the house allowed picnics poolside and evening fun on the upper screened porch. The stars were amazing to view from the crow's nest on a clear night. Traveling around by golf cart was so fun! The pool was used a lot!!! Beach time with kids with the provided sand toys and 'baby tent' was great. Proximity to the NCIC allowed more pool fun and alternate dining. The kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing spring break at Rum Cove! Loved the home, the location and everyone on the island could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Will rent here again!

Property was in an excellent location, and we were able to take a water taxi right up to the house with our luggage and extra groceries. Very convenient. The home was well maintained and clean, loved the technology upgrades without losing the island vibe, and the pool/bar area was a ton of fun. We golf-carted around the island, hiked, kayaked, enjoyed the adult frozen drinks, did some seashell-searching, floated in the pool, caught fish right off the dock... enjoyed more frozen drinks... and just generally loved the chill island atmosphere. Communication with the host and property manager was awesome. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Will be back.

Our group loved our stay at Rum Cove. We had two families with 6 children ages 7 & under. The house was perfect & had everything we needed. The weather did not cooperate, but thanks to the heated pool, our kids were still able to swim everyday. We caught a few fish off the dock too! The sunsets and stargazing from the top were amazing and we enjoyed eating in the screened-in porch frequently. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed all liveable spaces of the house and were two families with young children and teenagers from 6 to 16, running, drawing, joking, swimming, painting, fishing. The living room is warmful and spacious. With the boat we rent, we were autonomous and discovered the nearest islands. In North Captiva Island, you just need to be ready to be delighted all day long. Let nature be your guide and go with the flow.

We loved our time at Rum Cove. 3 generations of our family spent a relaxing Labor Day weekend here. The house is truly spectacular! Being locals, we have spent a fair amount of time on North Cap and love everything about it. As we usually get to the island using our own boat, the convenience of having our own dock was a nice change. In the past we have docked across the island, this time we had the peace of mind and convenience of having our boat close at hand and easily accessible. And Joe, the owner, was very helpful with check in. The dumb waiter made transporting goods to the 3rd floor kitchen so convenient, we wish every house had one. And there is also an ice machine which was another added luxury. Overall, the place was very clean and comfortable and we look forward to staying there again. It's tastefully decorated, the bedrooms each have their own TV. The kitchen is well equipped. We brought a lot of food with us and had no difficulty finding the various kitchen items needed to prepare meals. The property is also in close proximity to the North Captiva Island Club and Mango's so food and fruity drinks are never more than a short jaunt down the road. We spent our mornings at the beach, it's a short golf cart ride from the house. Provided with the house were beach chairs, sand toys and even a cooler for guests' use. We used the pool in the afternoons right before dinner to cool off and relax. The pool area is it's own paradise! We loved the bar area with the ping pong table and multiple lounge chairs. Our only complaint about the house was that we did not have longer to spend there. We will definitely be back!

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful week at Rum Cove. The home is modern, spacious and well furnished for comfort and activity. The ping pong table was an added bonus. There were ample things to do, such as, fishing , swimming in the private pool, and the crow's nest was a morning treat for me with a cup of coffee. We enjoyed the kayaks from the North Captiva Island Club and 2 golf carts were a big bonus with two older children with varied interests. We saw ample wildlife including osprey, manatee, dolphin (both tiny young ones to full grown) and tortoise. Our main interest was fishing and the island did not disappoint with many species being caught from various beach locations as well as the Rum Cove dock. While we did not use the dock to park a boat, it is an incredible amenity. The owners, Joe and Barbara, were available and attentive. Thank You to Sarah Rapp, who is an incredible resource for booking at North Captiva. This is not our first experience with Sarah - she is great! It was a fantastic, memorable vacation with our children!

As SWFL residents, our family of four makes frequent visits to N. Cap. This was our first stay at Rum Cove, but it won't be our last. The house and property are well-kept and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the heated pool and made good use of the full-sized washer and dryer. (Many homes have compact units.) The water pressure in the house is great, which may seem odd to mention unless you have rented homes on N. Cap. Rum Cove's decor is lovely and comfortable, providing a wonderful setting for family dinners after long days at the beach. We filled the house with the smell of baking cookies while we watched movies at night on the flat screen. The kids fished from the dock and loved watching the osprey nest from the screened deck. It's nice to have NCIC privileges and we enjoyed kayaking among the manatees. The owners of this home are gracious and have thought of everything you will need for a worry-free stay. Tom was very helpful getting us settled and arranging for help to get our luggage back to the ferry. We made fantastic memories! Rum Cove is the perfect retreat to share quality time with your favorite people!
