It was very clean, but the area around the property was a bit sketchy

The location is in a very unsafe appearing neighbourhood. Was approached outside by a disturbed man who seems to deal with some sort of substance. Not recommended neighbourhood.

I booked a 5 night stay. Everything is great. The room is nice and clean and modern with a little fridge. The mirrors needed to be cleaned but whatever. I ended up traveling to san pedro for 2 nights leaving the room vacant and informing the manager (carolina) that i would return if she could have my room cleaned. Upon my arrival the evening before i was due to depart i get to my room to see that the items i had left in the fridge were removed. As well as a charger i had forgotten to take with me. I asked the front desk where are my belongings and they didnt know. One agent said they werent sure i would be returning. Hmmm. The other agent went to check the housekeeping room. After about 20 minutes my fridge items for whatever reason were relocated to the fridge down in the lobby and my charger was now in the lobby drawer. Why were my items removed from the room i had paid for through the following day? The manager said thats how they clean the fridge. They remove the items and forgot to put them back. And my charger?? It made me think they rented out the room for a night that i wasnt there. Upon further questioning the manager was completely disinterested in my concerns. She just kept her face in her computer until i got upset and walked away. I will not be staying here again nor will i recommend anyone to stay.

Modern, clean and comfortable. My only major complaint is the WiFi is unreliable.

Always a pleasant, quiet stay

The room is nice and the bed comfortable, but that's as good as it gets. Housekeeping is by request only; meaning that if you don't request it that your room won't get cleaned and towels changed. I requested that my room be cleaned after three days and was told that I need to hang the sign on the door to get it done;I informed the desk clerk that there was no sign and it remained that way for the duration. There's a nice TV in the room but the only source of entertainment is via a Firestick that buffers continuously. This is not a hotel that I will ever book again.

Very easy to check in/out. I am satisfied with the cleanliness and the amenities. What I liked was that we can get shin ramen noodles at the reception. Chinese restaurant next door is also good!

Very clean, newer room. Location worked out good for us. Very good value.

The stay was good, the staff kept the place clean and they were very helpful. Carolina and her staff are great. The only negative finding was a smell coming from the drainage system. However, whoever stays there will be comfortable and love the restaurant next door!!!

Once inside the Jovilee, it is an excellent hotel and would recommend it, unless you are uncomfortable with the surrounding neighborhood. Like much of Belize city, the neighborhood is run down and conjested with limited parking and an abandoned house across from the hotel.

Great economic place

Room was nice. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Great shower! The only suggestion I would make is to have a secure place to store luggage when one has checked out of the room.

I was too tired to do much, but this great Chinese restaurant is next door. The food was excellent. Next trip, I will stay here again, and will explore the city. Great wifi, modern tech, including door codes instead of keys, modern toilets/plumbing where I can flush the toilet paper, Firetv, USB ports all over, etc.

close to the ocean front. There is not that much to do around(restaurants, coffeeshop, stores, supermarket).

Very clean and safe! Lots of good food options around and affordable pricing . I highly recommend!
