The food was terrible and the service extremely slow! For the price we paid for this hotel at $400 a night the place could be cleaner but the beds where comfortable and parking lots nice and big for larger vehicles or trailers

We happened to arrive when 4 families total 17 were checking in. Overwhelmed the staff and we waited for over 10 minutes for someone to be able to check us in. We were on the way to our room and the other 17 were still trying to figure out what rooms they were reserving !

My room only had a view of the roof of an adjacent wing of the hotel…this seems to be a theme when booking with Expedia.

This property is in a beautiful location and there is much potential. The cost of the rooms is too high, given the hotels appearance. Even though basically clean, rooms need to be updated, ie carpet replaced, thresholds and windows to balcony clean. The TV remote was missing and the hotel phone did not work. We reported this in person to the front desk and immediately received the remote, however no explanation for the phone issue, until we mentioned it again at check out, and they said it was related to a storm 2 days ago. The restaurant only had one (very nice) server; the menu very limited, and not up to the variety and ambience one would expect in a resort hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but owners and management need to update this very tired hotel in a very lovely location

It was right on the lake. It had a very nice indoor and outdoor pool. It had a bar outside. And it had a restaurant in the hotel that was very convenient.

The gal that checked us in was wonderful-friendly, welcoming, and kind. The problem was the restaurant. They were short staffed which is understandable in these times. However, after standing in line at the hostess stand for 20 minutes, we were rudely told, “we are on a wait!” I said that it was ok we would wait. But no, the C woman again rudely said, we are on a WAIT! You can go wait in the lobby!” No one took our name or asked us the number of our party. So, I was not going to go wait in the lobby without checking in somehow. When I started this I was told that the kitchen is behind and we are on a wait. My partner and I left to go to Grand Haven to give our business to another restaurant. I can assure you that we did not try the restaurant chain for breakfast. I would not recommend this restaurant.
