Very close to the Mayo Clinic you could walk if you wanted to. We had a shuttle service that did a very good job of taking me down and picking me up. I would recommend this place if you’re going to the Mayo clinic.

We had an excellent stay, was very happy with the cleanliness and wood flooring was not sticky or tacky. Staff was very friendly and we loved the key entry.

Overall this is a really nice place. Since parking isn’t free and breakfast is pretty limited, it would be nice if coffee was free. Felt a little nickel and dimed, but would stay here again. Nice modern rooms. Not sound proof or pet free though. Could hear a dog barking but luckily not constant.

Well…. First off.. When i checked in they said there was a $7.00! a day parking fee…
Say What!!??… It did not say anything about a parking fee in making the reservation…. That is a total “ back door move” shame in you Sonesta boss man/ woman… Riduculous! Plus the hotel is out in no mans land, which is fine, but do really need to tack that on.. if you want more money just have it in your rate to begin with! Mercy…!.. They said its been in effect for a year now..( asked another employee, he said a few months.. hmmm)… Thing is i stayed there just 2 weeks earlier , and a couple more times in the past few months.. No parking fee then….??
When i expressed my opinion on the so called parking fee, the lady checking me in literally walked away in mid check in and made the other young gentlemen check me in.. ( He did a great job taking over)…..
The lady that just walked away? Needs a different job!… I would like a response from Sonesta.. If you can merit one…..?

Went over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Booked the room so we could have breakfast at the hotel and wife and I could have drinks at the bar at night.
Bar and restaurant were closed Weds night through Sunday.
Room smelled of cigarette smoke with cigarette butts on the patio.
Left over food and items from the previous guest.
Bathroom had no fan/vent.
The Bathroom for turned the towels grey.
The front desk was nice, but wouldn't give a discount for the closed bar and restaurant.
They did offer a new room that didn't smell like smoke but we had already unpacked after a long drive.
It felt like someone was trying to put lipstick on a motel 6.
The beds and pillows were actually very comfortable and the sheets were clean.
The front desk was nice but guest satisfaction wasn't their primary concern over the bottom line.

The bed was sunken in from being old so it felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. Lots of slamming doors late at night and morning. The air conditioner wall unit was really, really loud even when not actively cooling. The carpet in the halls was pretty dirty.

If you are looking for a patient friendly hotel, keep looking. Beds are too high to transfer in/out of. If you are shorter than 6', your feet won't touch the floor when you sit on them. Staff will not help you in the evening if anything is missing from your room. Shower was broken for entire 10 day stay. Toilet was plugged first night - couldn't get it fixed until following day. No compensation offered for either. Room door was too heavy to get in/out of unassisted. There are no benches to stop and rest in any hallways. If you are recovering from Mayo procedures, you better be able to walk a long way. In the room you get a microwave in a cabinet on a shelf near the floor. There is hanging space for your clothes but no drawers for socks, or other non hanging clothes. Had to use the ironing board as a shelf. Room has inadequate power points. In the queen and double rooms, there is no seating besides the bed. My 10 day stay felt like 6 months - and not good ones. The shuttle service to Mayo Clinic is excellent, which is why I chose this hotel, but it wasn't worth all of the inconveniences.

Mostly good. Should have requested handicap accessible. Toilet ran after flushing if didn’t adjust handle. Ceiling light in shower area only worked part of the time. No maintenance available.

I arrived at 10;00 pm. Staff was not readily available to check guests in or help existing quests. The room I received had terrible drainage and smelled of pets. Staff was not helpful. Just a bad experience was disappointed.

My stay was almost fantastic, except for one thing. Your walls are so thin to the point of hearing everythihng in the next room. talking , TV . I only got 2 hours sleep because of the noise. May I suggest those white noise machines that play rain, fan, waves, ect..to drown out what's going on in the rooms next door. I will be comming in next week again, Mayo appointment. I'll be the lady bringing in her own fan. Everything else was Fantastic!!! Thank -you
