Once i arrived at the hotel, I was told that there are additional charges and taxes that needed to be paid, I paid full price and taxes at when i booked the place at Hotel.com. This never happened to me at any other bookings.

Macy was amazing!! Friendly very helpful. She and Cordale helped me get my firestick working with the tv so my husband could watch his football game.
Kat at the front desk was also awesome. I lost my bracelet. She checked all the lost and found. So hopefully it will turn up.
Everything was great as always!! Staff is great!!
Now neighbors top and side not so much. But we love Folly & Tides we will be back!!

The front desk staff was amazing and the location was beautiful but the property itself was rough around the edges. The tub was in bad shape and the shower curtain rod was hanging on by a thread. I understand we were by the ocean but there was an excessive amount of rust in the room. One elevator was out of order and the other either had a 12 person line or a cleaning cart waiting to get on it. I was on the fifth floor and had to use the stairs everytime. Which was not convenient with all my luggage and pet.

We had a great visit and would have planned to return every trip to Charleston but I noticed a very big charge on my cc bill and when I called I was told it was a " Smoking Fee", WHAT?? She said they have these super sensitive sensors that detect smoke, candeles, burned hairspray from a straightener, but they definitely wouldn't pick up the smoke from the corridor or balconies that we could smell from our room during our stay, eye roll.. so we were falsly accused and charged a ludicrous fee of almost double what the room charge was for something we didn't do!!! I will NOT be returning and I would suggest AVOIDING Tides Folley Beach. I'm also shocked that they can do servalence like that without any notification, shady.

They were renovating rooms right next to the pool. Theyd drill mid day and you could hear the drilling vibrating in the walls in your room. We moved rooms further away and you could still here it. The construction was right next to the pool so youd hear it at the pool as well.

The entire staff was very nice and the view from the room was wonderful. Our room didn’t have an exhaust fan so the room was extremely humid. Also the water in the shower was luke warm 3 of the 4 showers

The staff were fantastic! The rooms could use some updating however, the bed was comfy and the view was perfect. If you’re a smoker like me, it’s a little inconvenient to have to go down to the lobby and stand in front of the hotel to smoke. I understand not smoking in the room (I don’t smoke inside my home but you are not allowed to smoke in the balcony or in the breezeways. With that being said, everything you need is within walking distance. A plethora of restaurants, shops and even a little corner market that takes 5 minutes to walk to. This is a hotel we would stay at again if we visit in the future

Lobby is beautiful! Can’t beat the beachfront location. Fun beach bar. Loved that parking was included. Rooms need some TLC. We were charged $30 to sit on beach chairs for the day. We’d assumed a beachfront hotel would provide their guests with beach chairs; quite a shock.

Hotel was old and needed updating. Phone charger stations in my room didn’t work. Balcony was so small you couldn’t fit a chair on it to sit down. No smoking allowed on balcony even with door to room closed. $350.00 fine. Very overpriced at $250.00 a night. early check out required a forfeiture of one nights room fee.

The staff was amazing, every single one was so friendly and helpful, addressed any request immediately! The coffee shop was great, and the restaurant was wonderful. My only disappointment was that you had to purchase a chair on the beach, I realize that the chairs were managed by another company. It would be nice if there could be so sort of collaboration with the hotel for guest. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay!

Price was too high. Did not have a microwave or chairs for the deck in the room. Turns out that we could have asked for these. The chairs we figured out on our own and the microwave we were told about when we checked out and complained about it. This should be offered. Plus, at this price point there should be free breakfast since the units do not have kitchens - they have a restaurant on site that could handle this.

The room was clean and had a beautiful unobstructed ocean view. Parking is easy and we never needed to use our car. We were able to walk to bars, restaurant, shops, etc. within a few blocks.
