We have stayed at this hotel for 3 years in a row now while we visit family in the area. It is very fun for families with the atrium and pool area, lots for the kids to do and keep them occupied. I find it very odd that at this hotel there is no housekeeping whatsoever. After a 3 night stay, we had loads of garbage piled up, a ton of wet dirty towels, and generally a dirty feeling to our room when we are paying a premium at a hotel to deserve to have housekeeping maintain our room and keep it fresh. I was told this was to make it "eco friendly" but I am not sure how this is eco friendly other than saving on wages of the staff. The atrium on the Saturday night was extremely busy and fun, but was left with a ton of garbage and food pieces all over the carpeted areas, etc, still there the following morning. I think for a chain like Best Western there should be a standard of cleanliness that is maintained. Additionally, we were given one kleenex box with 2/3 already emptied and half a roll of toilet paper for 3 nights. I was told to go to the front desk myself to get more toilet paper or kleenex if needed, which as a single parent with two little kids is very inconvenient and also so thrifty - I had to make a few trips over the weekend just to try and stock our room of the necessities. Lastly, on the first night of our stay at 12:30am our ceiling starting leaking in a massive waterfall near our doorway, we spent an hour trying to soak it up with our towels and ice bucket.

The restaurant on site was very reasonable and Michelle, our server, was wonderful. She remembered us every time and gave us great service!

Having to pay for breakfast is somewhat a turn off for most. We stayed at a Best Western in another province when we left and their free morning continental breakfast was really great !

This hotel was very welcoming right from the time we walked in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I like the brand of toiletries they use in the rooms, Pharmacopia, which is natural, eco-friendly and pleasant smelling. I wish they would have had recycling boxes in the rooms though. They have an excellent recreation area with games and climbing equipment as well as a pool with waterslides. Our dog was welcome in the hotel and there was a nice surrounding yard to walk around in. The restaurant in the lobby had great breakfast options at surprising low prices. The food was good and a really good value. Great family environment.

This place has such potential but ants in our room, mold at the pool and an unclean room upon our arrival put a damper on our stay. Luckily, pool lifeguard was AMAZiNG!

I come here for my kids. It’s a nice place where they can stay busy with the play area and pool. I wish it were cleaner and that the restaurant had better hours. Overall it’s fun, but need an update

Staff friendly. Hotel is tired, but clean. Balcony has no chairs, and overlooks a vacant property. Comfortable bed!

The atrium room is a benefit so that the kids can play and you can sit outside (or inside) your room with the patio door open and it’s safe. However…our room was musty and mouldy. Old toddler snacks/food was left on the floor and the carpet was very dirty. The kids had a blast in the waterslide/pool, and play area. We lost a lot of money on the arcade’s that just didn’t work. This place is kid friendly, but needs a good refresh. The staff were kind, but I was over charged at checkout. When I mentioned it They said they “fixed it,” but then they didn’t change it correctly on my credit, and I was overcharged by over $30.00 in a separate transaction. Frustrated.

The hotel was located close to everything we needed access to. The unpleasant experience was the hall where our room was located was full of all the dirty laundry and bags and bags sitting around thankfully they did get removed the following day. The bathtub was clogged and water would fill the tub while using it, same with the sink. The rooms do need some updating. The best area was the atrium perfect for families.

It’s a great property for the kids to run swim and play, and for the parents to just sit and relax and watch them burn off energy. Breakfast in the morning was great and very reasonably priced and the service was excellent.
The property as a whole is good but needs a little TLC the biggest being the room AC units which multiple rooms had issues. We had issues with ours and ended up switching rooms. We were offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience which I was fine with.
