The Great George is within easy walking distance to the waterfront. The hotel itself is elegant and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

This is a lovely location right in the heart of Charlottetown. The bed was so super comfy that I had a great night of sleep every night. Breakfast was good however some variety would be nice seeing that we stayed 4 night and every day was basically the same. Maybe some local cheese from the local Cows creamery and other local products would make it more boutique like. As I travel often and feel like the staff was very nice and helpful they even gave us a lovely bottle of wine and some snacks in our room for our special trip. The only things I can mention is that more attention to cleaning would be nice. Like the corners of the bathrooms and exit door etc. Some attention should be giving to looking up and down like light fitting and corners bad cobwebs etc. we traveled in October so it was low season with lovely weather. Overall I would recommend this location.

Nice place

Overall great stay. They think of the small things that normal hotels don’t care about (water in the fridge, better coffee option, good toilet paper) small things like this go a long way for a stay. The bedding I found to be extremely well kept and clean and that is a big plus. The coffee, tea and cookies were a nice treat to tuck in before bed after a late night! Staff definitely seemed to be overwhelmed but I think this was a busy weekend in general.

Parking was a problem; everything else was fine. Good breakfast included.

Wonderful Hotel with a great location. We checked in early but our room wasn’t quite ready. They took our bags and all our Checkin information and after a little sightseeing our room was ready. They gave us a wonderful suggestion for dinner that was within walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was also great. Lots of options and perfect for a traveller on the go. We would stay here again. One of the best parts of our stay was Happy hour, where you get to meet a few of the other guest. It was awesome.

This is a unique hotel, in a historic house, with period furniture, in the downtown core of Charlottetown, easy walk to restaurants and cafés just a block or two away. Great breakfast buffet (included with room) in the fantastic sunny living room, with fireplace lit in fall and winter. Great staff. Free parking right in yard behind. We have come here a few times, and will come back. One of my favorite hotels in Canada.

Excellent location for everything and service was great. Breakfast was very good and it was nice to have happy hour each day with others staying there.

Loved the privacy of the room. It was clean and stocked with towels but would’ve been nice for toiletries like tooth paste and hygiene products. Fireplace and music were turned on, setting the mood as you walked through the door. The only issues we found were the patio door being very difficult to open, as well as it backs onto the hotel parking, making it unwelcoming to sit outside. The complimentary breakfast was lackluster, mostly various breads and pastries. Staff were welcoming and very hospitable and they were a pleasure to deal with. Definitely would return for a longer stay, and take advantage of the spa and room service options.
