Chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Pantheon and museum. The added benefit are multiple restaurants and cafes nearby.

I really can’t say enough great things about the Herodion Hotel. Our room was very nice with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The location is perfect - on a quiet, tree-lined street near the Acropolis Museum. Easy walk to the Acropolis, Plakka, etc. The two restaurants are superb- and, don’t even get me started on the breakfast that’s included with your stay. It’s better than any restaurant you’d seek out for breakfast. We stayed 3 nights before leaving to island hop. We stayed at the Electra Hotel on Ermou for our last two nights in Athens and regretted it - loud and outdated. Wish we had come back to the Herodion! Next time.

The location is perfect - on a quiet, tree-lined street near the Acropolis Museum. Easy walk to the Acropolis, Plakka, etc. The two restaurants are superb- and, don’t even get me started on the breakfast that’s included with your stay. It’s better than any restaurant you’d seek out for breakfast. We stayed 3 nights before leaving to island hop. Property is good but since Im “platinum” memeber from expedia never received benefits that this status offer. No Upgrades, no early check in, no late check out, nothing.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting Athens. This is a nice and comfortable luxury boutique hotel with unbeatable view from its rooftop restaurant. Although all of the staff members are really friendly, I want to give a special shout-out to Mrs.T who works at the front desk/reception. We took a taxi ride from Piraeus port to the hotel and the taxi driver asked for €45 instead of the regular price of about €15, with no receipt provided. Mrs.T rushed out and confronted that taxi driver for us after she learned about what happened. The taxi driver gave it up and left eventually, all thanks to Mrs. T's help. We would definitely remember those nice and kind ppl from Athens like Mrs. T, who made travelling more memorable for us.

Incredible service from the front desk and concierge staff. The rooftop bar is AMAZING view of the acropolis. This hotel is a must visit for that alone! The rooms were clean, high quality sheets, pillows, and mattress. We appreciated the attention to detail.

The Staff was very nice and helpful. The Rooftop view is beautiful. The room itself needs upgrades. The bathroom is very small, and walls are thin. We heard every hallway door open and close. The air vent is directed towards the headboard and both of us woke up sick and with a cold. We had it set to the lowest fan setting. The blankets were thin as it was their “summer” bedding but was later on given a thicker blanket upon request. Also, our room key disappeared from our room while we were out which was concerning. Overall I wouldn’t rate this a 4 star property.

The facility had a classic ambiance, something that I purposefully sought when booking a hotel.
The only regret that my family had was that we could not stay long enough to enjoy the hotel. This hotel is tough to beat in terms of location, and service.

The location is ideal - right beside the Acropolis Museum and near the Acropolis and Parthenon (10-15 minute walk). If you don’t have much time and want to see as many of the main attractions as possible, hop on hop off tickets are available at a nearby shop. The bus stop is a 30 second walk next to the hotel, which was super convenient. Make sure to use the jacuzzi with a view of the Acropolis/Parthenon - such a nice touch. They also have a great rooftop restaurant with an unobstructed view. 10/10 would recommend.
