Stopped off in Magdeburg on my way to Berlin and opted for Mercure hotel. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Room was clean, comfortable and had good WiFi coverage. Bike friendly, which was a bonus. Would happily use again

Comfortable bed. Decent shower (though a shower curtain rather than a screen). Kettle in the room. Underground parking (charged extra).
We paid £10 each extra in the room rate for breakfast - this was quite disappointing, possibly as a result of not having many guests

Stayed for one night in single-room. Perfect bathroom, good bed, quiet, good WiFi, good service at reception, very good breakfast with reasonable selection of above average products, including good coffee and bread. Far from the center. Curtains leave sunshine coming in early in the morning. No air-con. Old-school decor, used but maintained and working, hallway carpets need replacement, though. Burger and beer in restaurant was very poor. Good parking but you need to drive to the back of the hotel. Would come again.

Lovely staff is always happy to help, public transport (tram) nearby. Good breakfast. Clean rooms (smoking available which is a rarity in Germany :-) ).

Everything was good really, not much to be said. Staff spoke English, breakfast was good, everything was clean, comfortable. Only downside was that the WiFi was down for like 2 days and nobody seemed to know how to fix it.

This was a last minute booking for an event in Burg. Modestly priced but lovely room, clean, spacious bathroom and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Hotel shows it's age in terms of the dated decor but it's been kept very well maintained, clean and fresh, as you would expect from German attention to detail. All an all very good stay.
