Check-in time was 3p, we arrived around 630p, room wasn’t ready. Stated she “fell asleep.” Then told us that the room would still not be ready for another 30 minutes. Again, this was already after 3p check-in time. Meanwhile, her sister came into town and surprised her and her meet and greet was more important than getting us into a room sooner rather than later. The significance of this poor review, is that we had been a long road trip, on a motorcycle, 1100 miles. We were an hour and a half away from home and was exhausted. This was our last night to get rested and get home the next day. Then, plumbing was bad in the shower. You couldn’t take a shower long enough before the tub starting filling up because the pressure(not complaining on that part) was so hard that it filled the tub quicker than you could shower. On tap of that, the toilet seat was falling off. Doesn’t make it easy for sitting.. I get it, we weren’t paying for the most luxurious experience but should still be in par condition. Especially in one of the most visited places in Wisconsin.

The staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable. Very quiet & we Loved that there was a microwave & frig in room. Walking to downtown Dells was a breeze so we never had to move the car. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We have stayed at the River Road Motel a couple of times now and keep coming back. This motel is perfectly located in walking distance to downtown Dells and the Riverwalk. Sara (Manager) and her staff are very nice, accomodating and attentive. Each room we've stayed in has been different in terms of size, furniture, etc. and Sara has been working hard to upgrade as much as possible, inside & out. If you're looking for a clean, value priced roadside motel, River Road is great choice.

The girl that runs the Motel is super sweet and helpful!! Room was cute and spacious. Close to everything! Not our 1st time there and we will def be back!!

Really can’t beat it for the price Good rooms nice space In the room right off the strip so you can walk around staff was great to whenever I needed something walked down to the front and asked whatever I needed. They also gave me tons discounts on places in the lobby can’t beat it just like you were staying at your Grandmas house and she’s got all the hook up

The girl working the front desk was so nice and helpful! Very unique to have a chalk board motel! My son loved it! We stayed 4 days/3 nights and didn’t have any bad experience! And it’s right on the strip so we walked a lot!

This motel has many cleanliness issues. The price is reasonable, but everything else is far below average. Very poor organization and service. Don't be surprised, even though you have reserved a room, if someone else is in it and you can easily run out.

Never got to stay, went to check in and it was closed. Hours of checking in I didn't see. I rang the doorbell and called the property with no answer. Hours of checking in were 3-9 only. Our travel plans didn't allow us to check in at those times.

Definitely a budget stay. But overall the stay was good. With new management the staff was exceptional. We had a slight inconvenience during our stay and the staff said they would remedy the issue right away.

The room was dirty. Bathtub full of hair and dirt. Floor had stains from spilled liquids and loose dirt and debris. Multiple burned out light bulbs. Clothes rack partially ripped from the wall. Microwave and refrigerator full of stains. Stains on the walls, mirrors and pictures. The place needs a thorough cleaning and an abundance of basic maintenance. Old and weathered is ok. Old, broken and dirty is not.

No call about us being unable to get the room we paid for until we got there and didn’t get money back and had to find another places to stay last minute.

We had a wonderful stay at River Road. It is very low key and offers no amenities and that's ok! We just needed a basic place to sleep. The rate was extremely reasonable, check in was fast and easy and its clear the manager is here to make your stay great. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I made a last minute decision to goto Noahs Arc in Wisconsin Dells on our way back from a concert in Iowa ive never stayed at a motel before this and i was extremely impressed with the room,location and price of room especially for absolute last second. But what impressed me the most was the service the woman in the office is absolutely delightful, such a sweetheart and so extremely helpful we both just love her so much so that instead of staying at mt Olympus or Kalahari like usual were coming back to stay here instead. Well see you real soon. Thank you so much.
