After just 2 minutes in the room without shoes my socks were black. Dark carpets don't mean that you never need to shampoo them. I then did a second test. I took a wet wash clothe and wiped it across just 18 inches of the carpet. It turned black. If it were not for filthy carpets, this would be a nice 2 star hotel.

Easy check in, rooms were okay, quiet.

The property is old and room smells bad. It needs renovation.

Lots of sketchy people in the immediate area. Feels unsafe.

The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The property was a little old, but well cared for. We would stay there again.

I didn’t not arrive to the destination although I have informed them my situation. They lied to me about Expedia is the only one that can make changes but when Expedia agents called them they couldn’t answer the phone until the next day. The manager at super 8 Yellowknife is not honest. She assured me that there’s no penalty to change dates but purposely did not pick Expedia calls. I lost 272 dollars for nothing. They are cheaters and greedy people.

The staff were friendly, room was comfortable and clean. The surrounding businesses have a lot of homeless people.

The outside area needs to be cleaned up (flower beds and some garbage picked up).

The only good thing about this property was the amazing friendly professional staff. The hotel itself also has a great location (which is why we stayed there). Next door to Walmart and Tim's. Across the street from subway, pet store, Dollarama. A street away from Coyote's steakhouse. However....they let drunks and homeless hang at the hotel and even sleep on benches outside. We found 40oz bottles of booze all around, abandoned shoes, drunk people screaming outside during the night keeping us up. The hotel has no landscape to speak of. Anywhere there could have been grass they put stones down. God forbid they should have to pay someone for landscape and maintenance. The back of the hotel they just totally let go. The hotel is old, smells old, carpets are nasty. The shower bar was falling off and we were lucky to get a tiny bit of hot water. Breakfast was non existent. Coffee and a mix to make your own waffles but that's it. Not even muffins. I would not stay there again. Staff was awesome and we did what we needed to do but I would not recommend.
