It was overall a great stay. The room was a bit worn down, but renovations are ongoing. Renovations caused a bit of noise but all within acceptable limits. Very comfortable bed and nicely sized room.

The hotel is undergoing a major renovation and this is not clearly informed on Hotels.com nor the hotel’s web site. We feel really fooled. We also paid in advance and were not able to get refund. Will never stay here again.

Although we had heard that this was originally a large Copenhagen department store and was converted into a hotel some years ago, we didn’t realize that the hotel was under construction and doing a complete renovation. We thought the location was great, but the facility was barely adequate.

Hotel is so well located for the city . But contrary to Hotels.com listing as it doesn’t mention it is that the hotel has changed hands and is being bought by an American private equity group which owns One Hotel group . So when we arrived the builders have moved in drilling and knocking the place about . The hotel is being revamped and will shut in November 2024 . Does the US websites tell us this ?? There’s no restaurant and only available for breakfast . That said our room was clean and tidy but what does all that matter as the hotel is being renamed , gutted and prices will triple in line with the new owners policy around the world . Was £200 soon to £600 .

Location is great with walking distance to all attractions and station. The pillows are very good but the mattress had previous people's impression in it. I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed for 6 nights and had no hot water every morning (through the day and evening was fine). I mentioned to reception and all she advised was that no else had complained and did not care or offer a solution or apology. I had to run the shower and basin for 30 minutes just to get some warm water to shower. I overheard another couple with the same issue at breakfast. There is extensive renovations being carried out on all floors except for 2. There was jack hammering through breakfast (8.22am). None of this was conveyed at booking stage or check in. The dining staff where extremely helpful however the hot food was cold even at opening time (6.30am). i would leave at 7am each day and when i would return late afternoon my room was still not cleaned as 'other rooms have a higher priority'. I think there must be better hotels around. At check out i waited to be asked how my stay was but was just told I was ok to go.

Was not informed about construction and was extremely loud. Hotel is closing for Reno and they have given up on keeping up. Gym smelled, loud noises, condition of rooms not up to par.

Well located hotel with nice.staff. However it is noisy due to widespread construction. Also, the gym smells like sewage in a section. This should be addressed. Other than this, all good.

Half the hotel facilities were closed due to construction/renovations. This should be disclosed up front. Also, for the four nights I was there the cleaning staff didn’t properly vaccum the room, saw dust under desk

Hotel and staff are very nice, but nothing special. The issue was that the hotel was under construction during our stay. This was mentioned on the website, but I did not see it mentioned on Hotels.com.

Really nice hotel for a group. We were able to hang out on lobby floor as a group with several options for comfortable seating and conversation.

There is construction noise!

Hotel is old and is in badly need of a renovation, so super excited that Hotel 1 group takes over in the near future. Located is amazing.

the experience was good

We were given a minuscule room, poorly kept. The bathroom was half the size of what is shown in the pictures and the room was so small that they didn't have space for the place mat with the tea kettle. Location is great and the hotel is beautiful, but the service provided is definitely not 5 stars.

Unfortunately the room we were given was not clean, the toilet was used but unclean. The bed blankets smelled bad and had to be switched. On the second morning, there was no hot water. After about 20 minutes the water was getting warm but shower was already finished. (Shower was taken at 07:30. When we checked out, the receptionist told us that it was like that at times. The breakfast had a great selection but the warm buffet food was cold on both mornings. (Eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes.) The furniture in the breakfast room was very dirty. The rug on our hallway floor was very dirty, and it was apparent that the dirt was there all three days which means it was not cleaned the whole time we were there. The location was great and the hotel has potential, details need to be paid attention to. At the current state I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent location. May be pricey for some but the rooms were great, breakfast was delicious and could see nearly anything within a 15 minute walk.

Expedia show this as a five-star property even though the hotel confirmed on check-in that it has withdrawn from the star system because of refurbishment taking place in 2024. Expedia’s star rating is a blatant failure to deliver its published policy on European star ratings. A number of five-star services are not available, including room service. A good breakfast is available, however the hotel only offers a couple of small, cold bar snacks for the rest of the day. The room was tired and in need of renovation. The hotel did the right thing and reduced the cost of the stay to compensate me for the lack of five-star facilities. Expedia has failed to correct or caveat the star rating on its platform, despite being aware that it misrepresents the hotel’s facilities. Massive breach of trust by Expedia.

Very nice hotel in an unbelievable location

The hotel is bigger and less cozy than pictured. The room we stayed in had a half shower that leaked water, an inconsistent air conditioning, and loud construction noise starting at 830 AM. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and I appreciate their attempts at sustainability.

Staff and service were absolutely amazing. The room unfortunately was very dusty everywhere as if it was sitting empty for a long time. The walls, furniture and decor were so dusty that if you brushed up against it your clothes got dirty. Didn’t want to use the closet or hangers because it was so dusty. Also questionable other dirty marks and drips down the walls.

Nice hotel and great location for a visit to Copenhagen. The rooms were well equipped. However, the gym was quite small and smelled bad. For the price and five stars, I would’ve expected a little more.
