It was the unbelievable how the level of service dropped in 3 weeks time. I’ve been staying at the oceanic for 15 years. I would stay there the night before my flights back to New York. There was a renovation that was done, it was visually beautiful but I found that the staff was snippy and felt bothered by questions. The food was horrible and while yes I could’ve gone out to eat - I was not feeling well and there was a heat wave. I have to say there was a young hotel clerk that was helpful and sweet when I checked in. My husband and I stayed July 15, and I came back August 4. The change in atmosphere was big. And I will not be returning to this hotel that I used to love so much

Asked about parking - had to park in shopping centre car park accross the toad begore checkin. Told you can park outside for free only if you get a space. Car would get towed if left in shopping centre car park. Then he said it would be better if you used our hotel parking !!!! Really !!!!! Pool Bar closed at 8pm no other bar to get a drink. Wont return sorry let down for a Melia Hotel

Unfortunately, this hotel is under construction and there is noise starting at 8:00 am everyday. This was not highlighted during the booking process, so we missed it completely. Because of the construction there was not a good restaurant arrangement at the hotel beyond a breakfast buffet in the morning. The lobby staff wasn’t very helpful providing guidance/help, except for Rafa.

It`s a shame that the pool is not usable. The stuff was very friendly! The breakfast had a large selection; the room with bathroom was good. We felt good!

Great hotel near the museums and park. City and beach both easily accessible by bus or a 40 minute walk through the park. Breakfast lovely, staff great. Only fault is that there is no kettle in the room.

A primary interest in this property was the swimming pool and fitness facility. Both were disappointing, as the fitness room had several stationary bikes and one weight machine and the swimming pool was not heated and practically unusable.
