The location can't be beat. Boat ramp and lake are super close. The lodge itself left somewhat to be desired. 1 small window unit for A/C down a small hall in an alcove toward back of room away from the sleeping area. A ceiling fan over the bed helps cool the area. No way to blow air toward the bathroom which was quite stuffy. If you close the door on toilet for privacy, be prepared to sweat it out. A/C is only on when room is booked. So don't book last minute or room will be hot. TV service was nonfunctional on arrival. Found HDMI cable disconnected from cable box. Reconnected it to restore service. Even so, the TV service was spotty with channels going in and out. TV remote could change channels but not the volume. Had to get up to adjust volume if a channel was too loud or too quiet. WiFi, although free, did not reach our room. Likely there is a central access point with no range extenders or connections in the building we stayed in. Flooring looked new and was clean. No signs of pests. Bed was reasonably comfortable and seemed clean. Door to unit is street-facing. Bolt lock on door was difficult to lock from the inside and impossible with the key from the outside. Key to unit only worked on door handle lock. Even tested on bolt lock with door open and key would not turn. Any items left in room while we were out felt unsecured. Overall, it was better than sleeping outside. But if you're used to quality amenities and comforts, you may want to look elsewhere.

Wonderful stay as always, this is our 4th time at this location. Quiet, peaceful, deer visiting in the mornings and evening. Access to the water for swimming and lake watching right on the property. Owner is very fast with any questions you may have.

Good value, lake is down but easy to access with float or Kayak…. When lake is up this place would be fantastic. Short drive to Whitewater Amphitheater , or to river.

Nice quiet comfy place to stay for the weekend. Only thing was we booked for convenience of boat ramp 2 and it was closed. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Great access to water, clean comfortable rooms, docking on bank of property was awesome. Property was great with tables, lighting and grills.

It had a senior citizen vibe not for young adults.

It took 2 calls to check in. No one in office. Room was very outdated but clean aside from the cockroach in the bathroom cabinet. View of the lake was great. Second night an entire family moved in next door, kids shook the entire building, and the parents sat outside ignoring kids. The whole building shook with every step next door! We were unable to sleep and had to leave at midnight. Night call manager took my call and offered a different room but I am sure all were equally bad and outdated. When I told him we expected a refund he said he couldn’t do that. Terrible, terrible stay and I am an easy going teacher just trying to get away for a few days! Don’t do it!
