Very nice and convenient to all shops and eateries. The room we stayed in with clean and spacious. Could fit 5 people but it was just the 3 of us.

Towels and bedding were clean and comfortable. Lots of dust over bathroom vents. Too much outdoor light coming in through the window blinds to have a great night of sleep if you like complete darkness when you sleep. Great mini fridge in room. Eco friendly large prefilled soap, shampoo, and lotion. Ingredients of products would be great for people w allergies. Liked location for walk ability to town; not close to beach but walkable if you can walk downhill
Then uphill on the way back. Michael who checked me in was helpful in explain my room didn’t come w a parking spot and that I would have to park in the street, but I could park in the lot for the first night because the inn wasn’t too crowded. I was glad I got a great deal for a midweek stay via Hotels.com otherwise some of the other issues would have bothered me a lot more.

Unbelievably loud people upstairs and no one in office to contact. Didn’t want to contact people in the party, given the kind of sad, unpredictable violence in our society these days. Barely slept and left early.

Beautiful little Inn. Lovely area. We stayed in the Stephenson House. Perfect for my family of 5. Kitchen was nice to have and use for breakfast. Plenty of towels. Beds slept well. Clean and having a parking spot for the car rental was a plus! Carmel is a dream!

Such a cute apartment!! Lovely place in a lovely area. Very close to restaurants bar and the beach. The apartment was adorable but dated and needs to be refresh: carpet old, most of the windows didn’t close and we were lucky it was not too cold or too hot. Tricky parking!

Place was adorable. Great parking right in front of my room and I just left car there and walked into town. Great market right down the road and easy walk to restaurants and shops. It was quiet and safe and I had an unexpected tiny ocean view.

The checkin staff was very nice and welcoming. The room is disappointing. It’s very dated. The refrigerator was in the bathroom. The place for hanging jackets and clothes were low so you could only short jackets/clothes. It’s an ADA room so maybe that is the reason for the low hanging clothes rack. But there aren’t many rooms that are designated dog-friendly. The lock on the door was not very secure, no bolts, and no locks other than the one on the door handle. Parking is convenient. And close to main strip of Carmel-by-the-sea (Ocean Ave.) and beach. Unfortunately I would not return.

The lady made it clear there would be no possibility of an early check in and made a point of it by closing the hotel for an hour right before check in. It was a courtesy she would not afford anyone. It says a lot about their hospitality.

The kid at check in was very lethargic and dissinterested in anything I had to say or had questions about. Website said there was parking available but, as I found out when I checked in, not for my room. Parking on the street was so-so. I had to park about a block away the first night. Room was quite small. Bathroom was tiny. Like hard to manuver in tiny. And I'm a 5'10" 175 guy. But it was clean and quite. So that was good.
