Location perfect for a pleasant stop to and from Bristol and Shrewsbury.

Great little hotel, with very nice rooms; mine overlooked the front of the hotel, onto the village of Tintern Parva. The owners are very friendly and gave great advice about walking trips in the area. Dinner is available, and a full bar. There's a very good breakfast menu, as well.

A great place to stay in Tintern just a mile or so from the Abbet. Beautiful surroundings and nice rooms. Fantastic food in the evening and a breakfast to die for!

I recommend room 2. The bedroom was spacious and has a separate lounge with a sink which was very useful. Everything was clean and tidy. The food is excellent. We ate there every night as there seemed little point in searching elsewhere! There are two cask beers which were both in good condition during our stay. Not surprising as the bar / restaurant area was busy with locals and guests every night. Breakfast excellent too. Relaxing atmosphere. We’ll be back.

The Wye Valley hotel is a lovely place to stay, room was very clean, very comfortable, and the breakfast amazing. All in all a good choice. Would definitely stay again Any thanks to the staff.

We really enjoyed our stay and the spacious room/bathroom were great. The food is well above average and we especially enjoyed the lamb. Great place to stay while exploring Tintern.

This is not a modern hotel . More an old pub with rooms . However it has character and the room was to a high standard with a large bed and a bright bathroom . Water pressure from the shower could be better . Owners who made us feel welcome and a bar with a good selection of local drinks . Wholesome breakfast in the morning

This is a great hotel situated in the village and in walking distance of the Abbey and other activities. The owners are really friendly and the pub is busy so has a lovely vibe. Breakfast was great and I heard that they will make up packed lunches if you need them. Rooms have hair driers and tea and coffee and are really spacious for a cottage hotel. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, lots of choice at breakfast inc full English (or rather Welsh!). Bin was full of previous guest’s rubbish but hoping that’s a one off.

Only one nights stay, en route from Margam back to Plymouth, but would definitely return if in the area. Friendly owners (and staff), comfortable and clean room and en-suite. Welcoming bar for evening meal and interesting dining room for breakfast. A very pleasant, but sadly short, stay. Thank you to all.

It’s a very short drive or a longer walk to Tintern Village with its shops and magnificent ruined Abbey. Straight across the road by Parva Farmhouse through the churchyard are well marked and maintained footpaths along the banks of the River Wye - well worth exploring. Although the hotel is on the main road, it’s a surprisingly quiet road, so no noise problem there. My room was super clean with great quality bedding, well equipped with all the essentials, well decorated and light with several windows (as the hotel is the last building on that side of the road, this gave lovely, uninterrupted views of the surrounding hills.). A great stop over and would make a great base for exploring this beautiful & historic area.

We had a fantastic time. Hotel was clean and comfortable and all the staff were friendly. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Will definitely be back.
