Very good hotel with an ideal location in Malcesine with short distance to both lake and the city. Nice and piecefull with a nice pool with just adults

This little hotel is almost perfect. Its 50 meter from the beach, and its a very quiet hotel which the guests seemed to respect.
The rooms are simple and a little outdated, but they have working air condition and dark curtains that prohibit light coming into the room.
The plus sides: the staff is friendly, close to beach, they have a pool and sunbeds with parasols. There is a 5km boardwalk starting at beach close to the hotel which is perfect for a walk or run in the morning. The centre and the streets through Malcesine is very easy to find and walk. There is also a parking garage.
Things that we wished for; a minibar to store our own drinks and maybe some breakfast as the hotel had closed their breakfast service. We appreciate the "trust" fridge in the reception, but you pay 1 euro per 0.5 bottle of water, whereas you can buy 1,5 liter bottle at Spar for 0.70 cents, and breakfast did not come cheap in the restaurants that were open for it.
Not to big of a fan of paying for parking, especially when there are white stuff falling from the ceiling of the garage and on your car.
All in all, we do recommend this hotel, and would probably stay again.

This hotel is… O.K.
It is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the lake, the centre, and the cable car to Monte Baldo, and the hotel itself is clean. The staff are friendly. However, the rooms are very basic and quite drab-looking. There is also no restaurant or a space to relax in the evenings outside of the hotel room. And there is no atmosphere around the place.
Overall, I would say it’s ok if you’re just looking for a place to sleep at night and spend every day and evening outside of the hotel.

The location was great just at the edge of the old town , near but not noisy. A little gloomy inside but I guess that helps with coolness in the height of summer.

Lovely hotel in a great area. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Swimming pool was a good size with plenty of sun loungers and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We only used the pool and hot tub after we got back from our trips out every day and were the only ones using these facilities, which was great. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty. The only thing that wasn't to our taste was the room decor - a minor thing really as we spent very little time there.

The hotel offers a friendly, family-run experience. Staff are very helpful and they make you feel welcome. The breakfasts are lovely, with a good range to select from each day.
The room had a comfy bed and a balcony. My only comment would be that the room looked dated and the bathroom looked unfinished. This is fine is you’re not planning on spending much time in the room.
However, overall we had a lovely stay.

Malcesine itself is focused on making the most of tourism for the summer season and consequently the quality of establishments and service can vary and is often below expectation. Thankfully Hotel Luna Rossa always lives up to expectation and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Family run, friendly and welcoming this hotel is situated a short walk (a little bit steep if you have difficulty walking) away from the busy town centre, very near to the lake. Breakfast is plentyful and they are happy to assist with dietary requirements. We have stayed here 3 times and look forward to the next time.

We had a great stay at the Luna Rossa. The staff were fantastic and although a little dated the hotel is very clean and has everything you need. The pool area was good and had plently of sun beds. The rooms were nice and big enough for us to fit our pushchair in. The breakfast had a very nice spread and was tasty. Would be very happy to go back.
