To all solo female travelers, here's my advice to you. Book the all-female dorm as your first choice. But if you can’t get an all-female dorm and one of your roommates harasses you, ask to change rooms. I got harassed in the mixed dorm and when I reported it, I got switched to the female dorm with no extra charge! I would like to thank the people at the front desk for handling the situation so well. Also, the female dorms are quieter than the mixed dorms. There’s a lot of noise from Hollywood Boulevard and you might not need to wear earplugs in the female dorm. I stayed at Samesun for a week and it was a great location for doing all the touristy things. Will definitely consider returning on my next time to LA!

The place itself it s the best you can get in therms of hostel. Top of the line . The only problem I felt is lack of privacy you have in the bathroom.. and the vibes among employees, guests is weird off … a mix of duh and skatchy

Perfect location for seeing attractions in Hollywood. The Walk of Stars is right outside the entrance. There is plenty of parking in the Public Parking across the street, $20 per night. The entrance is a door that is locked and only registered guests can enter. Friendly staff, clean room, 2 towels, clean shared bathroom and showers (never a line). Once the room door was closed and the air conditioner on, could not hear a thing, quiet. If you slept with the window open, there would be traffic noise. Over-all, great stay.

Please be aware that everything is for share including your bedroom. I did not stay. I left when I learned the bedroom is for share for four people I never knew before. I honestly did not think this kind of room existed in America. Customer service asked my passport telling me that is required to ensure that I am not staying in LA, when I said I didn’t have my passport with me, I was asked to show if any documentation why I was in LA. I was so surprised because I thought we/citizens within US we can travel without passport.

Overall not a bad place to stay for a night or two. Typical hostel stay. Decent breakfast and kitchen/lounge area. My only complaint is that there was no hot water in the morning for my shower. Hopefully that was just something that happened to break during my stay and has been fixed.

I love the place, because is in the walk of the fame, the stars in hollywood, the place and the staff really good. Bad experience with one of the 4 roommates.

It’s affordable and a very convenient spot to explore LA since the metro is right across got nothing negative staff was nice and place is clean I would recommend this place for everyone looking for a place to stay for vacation.

The absolute best part of this place is the staff. From the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone was incredibly kind. The rates were a little high considering the length of stay and lack of sleep. The laundry use price was far too high, especially if one had their own supplies. The location is great for the sites and the metro.

I stayed at this property to catch an early flight. I found the shower had soap, but things weren't clearly labeled so i wasn't sure if it was hand soap. This place needs to get dispensers of something, because considering that most people staying here are flying outa, this seems like a huge oversight.
