The Novotel Munich Airport hotel is a modern comfortable hotel located on the MUC airport complex. We drove to the hotel which is about a 5-7 minute drive to the airport terminal/car rental return location.
Parking at the hotel cost €28 a day which seemed a little excessive. You can also travel to the terminal by taxi. Unfortunately the hotel does not offer their own transfer vehicles.
The hotel has a bar and a restaurant with a menu that is rather limited and overpriced. Our room (108) was a comfortable functional room with a comfortable bed, small refrigerator and in-room safe. We would recommend the Novotel for an overnight airport stay in Munich.

The hotel looks nice, but a knocking noise from a door or pipe kept waking me up. Also the shower didn’t drain properly, so I had to take short showers. Lastly, the rooms were stuffy because the windows didn’t open. When I told the staff about the noise, I was not convinced they would do anything. I was in room 434. Maybe management can check that something was done about the noise and backed up shower water

I couldn’t open my safe in the morning at 4:00 am when I was going to the airport.

After extensive research, we decided on this hotel as our base for our 2 week family reunion/wedding in Bavaria for a total of 12 bookings. . Novotel is simply the best!!!! Great newly renovated facility, professional, friendly staff, easily reachable by reliable public transportation… we loved the attention to detail: complimentary water and chocolate/ great coffee and tea in the room … and Oktoberfest Lebkuchen hearts in lobby! 💗 A great stay! ! Thank you!!!!

It was not a bad option for an Airport over-night that we needed, however the Airport Shuttle Service was rather confusing in terms of reception telling us they had run out of free passes and not really offering us the best alternative solution or advice, but we managed and figured it out on our own

I got stuck overnight due to a canceled flight and this hotel was exactly what I needed: A lovely, clean room, fresh fruit and nice flavored water. The directions from the airport were a bit tricky, however, so watch out for that.

This Novotel is a great option for a short stay, especially for families! They offer rooms that accommodate up to two children. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We noticed that our window was open (special window lock for room with air conditioning), and it was fixed immediately after we informed them!

This hotel is great for layover passengers. Nice and friendly staff. Room is clean with modern deco. Breakfast has various food options. Bus 635 has a stop outside of the hotel. It’s 5-10 min ride to the airport and 15 min ride to the town of Freising.
