The only negative was, I was in a room by housekeeping- and could feel my bed shaking at various times in the night. First time, I thought it was an earthquake! :D
After that, I realized, I was by housekeeping, and the machines in housekeeping kept moving the bed! LOL!

The stay started off for the most part normal. Weird thing is they have the doors lock and you have to be buzzed in. The room was nice and so was the breakfast. The problem started post check out. We were halfway home to Fresno, and I remembered I left my wedding rings in the restroom vanity. It hasn't been more then 2 hours since we had check out. I called the front desk so they could go up there and get them for us and we could drive back to Gilroy to pick them up. The young lady says the room hasn't been clean and they will go up there to check. She calls me back less then 10 mins that there are not there. I know I left them there. I check all my belongings and they weren't there. I then spoke to another gentlemen who says no one has gone in to that room since they won't be clean till the next day. I tell him well the rings didn't just walk up and leave. So either you haven't check or one of your employees pocket them. He said he would give me a call back if they found anything. No call received. My husband then calls later that afternoon and the lady at the front says the room will be clean that day and they will give him a call back. No call received. Just be careful when staying here. Don't forget your valuables like we did/ even though it's an expensive hotel the staff have sticky fingers. Or if your staying multiple nights don't leave anything valuable if there coming in to clean your room. Very disappointed in this hotel and its management.

Check in was a breeze. Helpful front desk staff answered all of my questions and shared the features of the property. Room gets an A for cleanliness. Hampton Inn in Gilroy exceeded my expectations.

We requested for some towels they didn’t bring any when we came back to the room in the pm we had to call again to get the towels.. it will be nice to have rooms cleaned how it used to be prior to Covid… we pay a lot for our stay to get no room service

Great Hampton Inn, if you are en route between Monterey/Bay Area/Southern California. Very new and clean and super friendly staff made for a terrific stay

Overall- staff was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. Check in and out were a breeze- both times in which staff members were awesome. My only issue was there weren’t enough trash cans in the room. They’re were only 2 small trash cans in the room (one being the bathroom trash). We had to throw our plates from dinner- in the bathroom trash (which is pretty gross). We ended up having trash cans overflowing which in turn made things quite messy. Additionally- the room was really dark. There was not additional lamps or lighting in the living area. There was a desk lamp on the table and two small lamps between the beds (above the nightstand dresser). We were in a suite- able to accommodate up to 6 people so it was a decent sized room but just lacked lighting. We were forced to leave the bathroom light on and door open just to see.

The only critique would be the pool temperature. The weather out was beautiful but even then the pool was too cold my kids were shivering.

I wanted to like this hotel. They have the front doors locked at all times with no public restrooms signs. There is a truck yard across the street and the area gives off unsafe vibes. The staff was very friendly upon check-in. The lobby is immaculate and smelled very clean. The same was not for the room. We went into our room and were impressed with the recently renovated room look however my kid put a tablet on the desk to use the bathroom and there were baby roaches running over it. I immediately collected our belongings and went down to ask for another room on a different floor. The front desk staff was apologetic and gave us another room. The room was also not cleaned very well. There were items on the floor like the room had not been vacuumed thoroughly. We found hair in the restroom luckily I bring my own wipes to clean. Also the bathroom tub was very slippery and my child fell while trying to shower. There was no bath mat so we used a towel to prevent further slipping incidents. I would have left the hotel for another however most in the area had worse reviews. The bed was not comfortable as springs pushed into your side if you're a side sleeper.
The positives of this hotel is they do put your safety first even though the area is questionable. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is hot, delicious and choices abundant. The pool is nice and they provide towels through there were bugs floating around. I would not stay here again.
