This was not the experience we were expecting for an almost $400 per night hotel. 1) Bed sheets were full of hair (clearly not changed). When we asked reception to clean the room, they told us there was anyone available and gave us clean sheets for us to change. 2) Food quality was ok but overpriced. Service was really slow, it took us 1h to get the kids food. 3) Pool: Drunk teenagers in the pool, unsupervised young kids playing in the steam sauna, and cold pool. We believe this were people not staying at the hotel but that had payed a fee for the pool 4) Spa: very mediocre massage. Spa is beside the pool so impossible to relax even at 10am in the morning 5) Majority of included activities closed (skating and cross country ski) but payed activities open (dog sled and ice fishing). Difficult to understand how there is snow for dog sledding but not enough to trace the cross country skiing paths. 5) Laugh or cry: no more hot water in the shower the last day....

We had a lovely stay at l'Auberge. The room was comfortable with a nice walk-in shower (my favorite). We loved swimming in the clear lake. We also enjoyed a lovely hike along a stream that leads to a waterfall. We ate at the hotel one of the 2 nights since it was a quite pricy. And we were also a bit disappointed that the water activities are not included (kayak, canoe, paddleboat). But the pool, tennis courts were. It was a peaceful getaway and we will no doubt return someday.

The property was huge with many activities available to clients. We especially loved the walking trails right on the grounds. Food was great, rooms very clean and spacious. Great service.

The restaurant food was exceptional and the pool area, wet sauna and facilities are amazing. The surroundings are well kept and we had a fabulous stay celebrating 30 years of friendship.

Even just for the restaurant a critism:
the serving of the trout plate with 4 sorts was to cold. The serving waiter didn't do anything with it. The table waiter was also surpised.

Amazing area! The hotel is nice with still a local and traditional feel. Miss an outdoor hot tub.

Stay was great - Beautiful place
Unfortunately technical issues at hotels.com did not make my reservation get through to the hotel - even though i got confirmation - The htel staff was extremly helpful and solved that issue with us - Awesome service from the hotel.

We wanted an escape in the woods with all the comfort of hotel, and we weren't disappointed! The location is amazing, there are a lot of activities to do (renting kayak, boat, play tennis, dip in the pool..)
