This is an older property which has not been maintained or updated. It is deteriorated and unsatisfactory.
The room doors are old, flimsy, and secured by inadequate "mechanical" locks which outlived their use by dates many years ago. These are old house type units that were cheap when new and not adequate even when new for commercial use. Now? The key for room 32 also opened room 31.
Heating is from floor units which are slow to respond. In one of our two units, the floor heating was broken and we had to use the window unit, which, in fairness, did provide adequate heat.
The parking lot is rough, IMHO needs a repave. Or maybe that's "normal" with the substantial winters in this area?
There isn't any system for a wake up call, that's DIY.
There isn't any breakfast.
Etc.
I felt sorry for the desk clerk. She mentioned that new ownership plans to make repairs and update the property. Until then, I suggest you find other options.

This hotel is okay. I paid a little over $100 for a night. It is clean, but it didn't feel very secure as there was only a doorknob with an actual key, and no deadlock. Lots of noise because you park right in front of your room. The towels were just a bit larger than hand towels--they definitely need to upgrade those!

Tv didn’t work, but we weren’t spending a ton of time in the room. Idaho Springs is a cheap place to stay on a ski trip, but a cool little downtown

There was a desk, a chair, fridge, and a television. H&H is located a very scenic walking distance from Safeway grocery store and a hot springs. Main Street is wonderful. Staff at the H&H are friendly and sincere. I would stay again.

What a little treasure at the end on an exhausting road trip! Perfect restoration of an historic roadside lodge. Room was spotless, fully equipped with kitchenette. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall property was good for the value. They had exterior renovations and painting going on. Will be cute place in a few months when completed. Room was nice, clean and private back location w easy parking. Would stay here again. 👍👍👍👍

I was there for a wedding and the cleanliness was important for me. This hotel was so clean! Quiet! And convenient! I'll stay here again! The staff was so nice! My phone ran out of power, and didn't have my charger with me, but when I went to the lobby this nice lady lend me her own charger; she saved me!

We had to change rooms because one of the beds was hard as a rock and the TV didn't work there was also holes in the walls, but they accommodatelld us with a new room and it was much better and it's under renovation

Where to start? Well, this is easily the sketchiest hotel I've ever stayed at, and I paid $195 for the night. This is a $25 kinda place. No one felt safe, it reeked of natural gas and cigarettes, and there was no hot water for the shower. Everything looks to be held together with spackle and caulk. I wouldnt say it was a filthy toom, but most of the surfaces were covered in a lot of mysterious stains and greasy dust.
I think it might be better to list what is good, since that list will be shorter...
-seems like a great place to buy and use meth.
-the air conditioning works. You wont need it since the blankets are tissues.
-the linens and towels smelled laundered.
-didnt find bed bugs. Spiders, yes. Bed bugs, no.

I gave this two stars vs 1 because I essentially knew what I was getting. You get what you pay for. That being said, as a woman traveling alone I was out in a room where the window not only didn’t lock but couldn’t be shut all the way. I did not feel safe. Furniture is very dated (80’s), a chair had a rip down the middle, one chair was missing the little rolly balls on the bottom of the legs (while the other chair did), mirror was not hung but laying behind the TV, the mini fridge didn’t hardly keep my water cold, & mattress was very hard/firm. Pros: check-in and check-out were easy & price was more affordable than anything else locally.

the AC is only in one room and it was very hot in the bedrooms and we barely got any sleep. The AC was very loud also.

I fid not loke thr EXPEDIA experience. At all. When i booked my intentions were Eldora Colorado. Instead, my search was re-navigated to Idaho Springs, 2 hours from my intention. I did not see Idado Springs H&H until after i paid. I tried to call and was hung up on bu Expedia. I will never use Expedia again

This property was absolutely filthy and run down. I have stayed at motels with better cleaning standards. There is no refund policy at all if your planning on going to idaho spings then be prepared. i have a google review with all the photos. This is not a hotel its a roach motel. The fact the expedia is letting this motel operate under their company name is embarrassing. I usually dont have problems with expedia but this hotel is absolutely disgusting and run down.

It is the only place that takes dogs.
The furniture is not just dated; it is in terrible shape. My room was in an annex with a window on the main street and absolutely no noise abatement. In fact you could see outdoors under the air conditioner. The TV did not work. The front desk person didn't know anything except that I couldn't get another room. You have to prepay. There is ice and a vending machine. No lobby, no coffee, no clock no key cards (just old keys for broken locks!). It was terrible.

The room was run down and a bit dirty but no bead bugs and cheap for this time of year in the mountains. The room we had also had a street light outside that was a bit intrusive into the room when shades open and was not totally blocked out when closed. Rm 34

I enjoyed my stay, and I appreciate that this motel is pet friendly. But when I specifically ask for daily room cleaning, they need to honor my request, not ignore it.

Just needed an overnight place that allowed pets on our way elsewhere. So wasn't expecting anything too fancy. Will start with the positives - nice sized TV, pets allowed, walkable to a park, and nice to have a family room with 3 beds. Very cute exterior, could park close to the unit.
However, the beds in the main room are way overdue to be replaced - the springs are so worn out you sink about a foot when sitting on them, the springs made horrible noises whenever you moved (I literally woke up my son in the other room when I rolled over one time), and the beds were just overall awful to sleep on (even for my 11 year old lightweight kiddo).
Very disturbing stains on one of the box springs, dust bunnies on the baseboard heating unit, dead fly in the bedding. Trash cans in the parking lot were overflowing. Just did not feel clean. And for a room that has 3 double beds, not sure why we were only given 3 very small towels.

It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. Quite and great price for a comfy bed when you're enjoying the hot springs. We stay here every time...never fails us. Great place to stay!

We asked for a refund. One of our rooms was dirty and had crumbs on the bed. The other room was not ready and we ended up leaving to another hotel. The office person was rude and made it easy to leave.

Although this property is older, our room was up-dated and clean. We were concerned about it being noisy but the evening and night were very quiet.

Very tired hotel. Although clean, it seemed old and seedy. Bed and pillows were adequate, but I didn't want to touch anything else in the room. It seemed like a NoTell Motel or a place for transients.

Travelers looking for a spot to lay your head and not a 5 star resort, this is it. Outdated decor didn’t stop me from getting much needed rest from driving. Friendly staff too.
