This hotel was great! Some reviews complained of small rooms and although the room was not spacious, it was certainly adequate and the bed was excellent. The bathroom was fully stocked with amenities and there was very hot water to shower. Breakfast was huge and offered a wide selection to suit most international travelers. The hotel was also very quiet, I've stayed closer to the square in Varenna and it is very loud (church bells, parties, street noise), none of that here but it is only a quick walk to all the action.

Very pleasant, convenient Varenna hotel just a few steps from the ferry docks and a short walk from the train station. Staff was excellent and breakfast was very good. Lots of choices. No lakeside view from rooms but so close it didn't matter.

Great place! It was in a quiet location. Short walk to the ferry, train station, and to the main part of the town. Room was clean, staff members were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome - had a great selection of food options.

Short stop to the Italian lakes, arrived by train and the hotel was located a very short walk away. perfect location for us to get the ferry and walk to local restaurants

The hitel is very close from the train station (5 min) and to the ferry (2 min). The breakfast was very nice as well. However, we stayed in room 10 and although we had the ac set to the lowest setting, it still dint get cooler than about 77-78 degrees. This may most likely be typical for europe. Also, the bathroom was extremely cramped. You have to basically stand in the shower in order to use the toilet and the shower was so small that you could hardly turn around. Additionally, the floor was slippery, i slipped iin the first 30 min we were there just coming out of the bathroom into the room. The staff was very nice and helpful. Just an older building with few updates.

Hotel gave clear instructions to get there from the train station. The walk from station is scenic . Just be prepared to walk in an incline and walk up stairs to get to the accomodation. Pack lightly if possible. Hotel is walking distance to the ferry and to the main area where the food is.

Location is great. Very near ferry station. Lobby assistance is good breakfast is good. Only thing us if you come by train take a taxi to hotel.

I truly just want to erase it from my memory. Please search carefully. There’s not even a view. The WiFi barely works. Safe didn’t work. Toilet paper was a joke. The floors seemed to have been cleaned with dirty mop water and bleach. Run! Positives, warm water with pressure. Good a/c. Fairly close to transportation and restaurants.

Disappointed! Very simple room and dingy. No window. Needed painting. No chair in room even though a small desk. Rollaway was tiny falling apart I paid triple what it was worth and found same room now for 1/3 the price i paid 3 months ago when i dooked the room. Even at half the price I doubt I would stay there again

Staff were very helpful and the location could not have been better! We especially appreciated the delicious breakfast with options for everyone. We had some issues with the water pressure, but we figured out how to work around it. Overall a recommend if you are visiting Lake Como.
