The rooms were very comfortable and clean considering its a dog friendly hotel. The shower gel in the shower was empty though so had to get out to get some from the bath dispenser.
The restaurant service was not fast, be prepared to be patient! The food was fine, not great.
The pool is gorgeous but cold, and no shower gel/shampoo etc provided in the showers at the pool but you do get toqels for the pool reom reception.
There's a lovely walk down to the beach and you can continue from the accross the prom.
This hotel is great for dogs. They are allowed everywhere except the pool area as long as they are kept on leads. There is a small enclosure you can let them off to have a run in which our dog loved and lots of grounds for walking.

We had a nice stay. The hotel is a little dated but clean and bed comfortable.
The bedroom was very warm despite opening windows.
All the staff were very friendly.
Good selection at breakfast.
Lots of parking.

Nice hotel with beautiful surroundings and walks close to the main town and beach. Clean room and comfortable bed. Food was adequate with a nice bar. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is convenient to town, gardens are lovely, food always piping hot. Car park spaces are very tight, bigger cars struggle. For us only problem was too many dogs in dining room (guide dogs were fine and well behaved), but one evening eating our meal, couple came in with two large dogs, one of which kept putting his paws on the dining table. Weather was awful and dogs smelt probably due to being wet from rain.
Parts of hotel interior very dated and in need of repair.

Overall the Hotel stay was very pleasant, staff very helpful and food better than expected, some reviews were very negative. Location is very good, with easy access to beach and town. Disappointed that the beautiful pool water felt so cold.
Just a shame that the room, especially the En-suite was lacking the cleanliness that I would have expected, quite dirty in places, dusty and a few cobwebs found, lamp shades could do with a good clean.
I would recommend and return to this Hotel at a future date.

I def fantastic holiday at the Clifton hotel food was lovely. Scenery was lovely really would recommend anybody visiting this place. People are absolutely great. Pleasant couldn’t help you more enough.

Room was fine. Breakfast was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Toilet paper was cheap and nasty, not in keeping with the hotel.

A very nice Hotel in a very good location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean and set in lovely grounds with nice views. Easy access from the Hotel through the lovely garden straight down to the Sea Front.
Overall, a lovely few days at this Hotel, will definitely stay again. 😊

Really enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were amazing.
Only downside was the collection of moths in the bathroom due to a window too high to close. Also there were more guests cars than parking spaces.

The room was on the ground floor 2 doors away from the pool room and someone was playing til 1:30am which kept us awake. The room smelt like wet dog and just felt unclean.
The location is perfect and the grounds are beautiful. We were very disappointed as I expect there are some lovely rooms unfortunately we didn’t get one.
