The room was modern looking, there was a smell of old smoke in the room.

Very comfortably beds, perfect location for our needs, quiet, friendly helpful staff. We requested a twin but were given a double but it was very quickly and easily sorted. Lovely country pub serving delicious food too. Handy having the Lidl across the road too. Only negative is the room was very very warm even with heat completely off and the corridor carpet was very stained and smelt.

The rooms are big, modern, bright and very comfortable. Bathrooms are fine with large walk in showers, and well equipped. The check-in and food is served in the pub next door. Food is very good and staff excellent and very friendly.
If you are going on a cruise, this hotel is about 20 minutes away from the cruise terminals, and very quiet and peaceful.
This is the 4th time I've stayed here, and never had a problem.

Nice budget hotel. Everything you need for a night or 2. Not very good lighting and the noise from other rooms comes through the vent in the bathroom. Also the light right outside the window stays on all night, shines in above the curtain.

We stayed here prior to boarding a cruise at Southampton. It was an incredibly pleasing place to have picked. Clean rooms with a lovely pub to eat at, and a shopping area nearby to walk to.

I did have the balcony room, however the room is pretty standard. The shower head has seen better days, however bed was comfy and air conditioning worked great for this type of weather.

A stuck valve meant that water kept running through the system and the cistern was constantly topping up. Not very eco, and very noisy through the night.

The room in general was good but the carpets are disgusting in the room and hallways. Breakfast was expensive and poor quality, especially the sausages.

We stayed at the Solent Hotel and Spa the previous week, prior to a visit to the IOW, and decided to stay again on our return, but as it was booked, we stayed here. The rooms was spacious clean and quiet, with everything we required. We enjoyed a meal in the Parson's Collar, good, basic bar food menu, but well cooked. Cheerful bar staff and good beer.

Trip away with my daughter and also booked a "football table" in the joining Parsons Collar to watch England play. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent table service, great food and England won so perfect evening 😅. Room was clean in most parts although carpet was a little grubby.Girls on reception were lovely and very friendly.
