It was a perfect base for us to return to after our days spent out sightseeing, beaching etc and within a walkable distance to Manhattan beach.
The host was very friendly and helpful when we arrived - we ended up paying more to upgrade to a better room as we weren’t happy with the standard room due to it being very basic and dated.
The upgraded room was a vast improvement but it would have been nice to have some basic items such as a hairdryer or iron.
There was a kitchenette in the room which was nice, but the cupboards were all completely empty, not even a bottle opener.
The noise from the road was very loud, especially in the morning, even though we were quite far back from the road - I think the doors/seals could me more soundproof.

I really loved my stay, really cute big room & all the staff is extremely sweet!
I could walk to my fitness classes, beaches, ups, shopping & the supermarket. The air is really fresh although it's close to the road.
I was so cozy there the whole time.

It was a mile walk from the beach, plenty of places to eat in the area and it was in front of a gorgeous neighborhood. I’d definitely stay again.

I enjoyed our stay here. We only stayed for one night but location is great next to the beaches and this was reasonably priced compared to other hotels and motels in the area. The owner was working the front desk and he was very friendly. It’s clean, good accommodation at a decent price in a great location. Definitely recommend.

Front desk was very helpful and communicated with me to accommodate my arrival. The room was clean and the location is great for beach access, dining options, and the price is right. The upgrades are nice. I have stayed here before and would stay again.

This property is excellent, in every aspect. It’s old but some rooms are already being remodeled. I would stay at the Seahorse Inn again any time that I am in LA!
