Excellent service. Very quiet and beautiful location. The staff at the restaurant were amazing. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and they made me the most delicious steak and potatoes. The cocktail I ordered was delicious too. For a small town this hotel and restaurant go above and beyond. Their food is more like a 5 star restaurant. Thank you!!!

Had a lovely stay. The only issue I had was that I needed to check in late and there was no one there after 9pm and I arrived at 11pm. Thankfully someone helped me in to the building where my keys were waiting for me to arrive. Food is excellent, staff is friendly, and the room was comfortable and a decent size for a European hotel. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre. The walk itself is up some fairly steep stairs so may not be suitable for folks with mobility issues. The coffee machine is worth the stay! Excellent coffee at the push of a button. Would definitely recommend this place.

Not only is the hotel wonderful with an amazing view over Göta Kanal and the old town, the staff is exceptional. Further do not forget to take time to enjoy the breakfast....it is brilliant!

The restaurant was busy when we arrived because a lot of people use this dining experience. We only could use the buffet for dinner which was nice, no a la carte available (anymore upon our time of arrival). The buffet was good, maybe a bit expensive for SEK 345 p.p. We enjoyed the breakfast on the outside terrace with fresh orange juice (pressed by ourselves) and a great view.The room was not big but okay, everything you needed available. A small terrace, unfortunately we did not have a nice view (parking lot) instead of river (room 1). Parking is free and that is a big plus in Sweden, if you can find a space. All people arriving for dinner also want to park the car. We arrived around dinner time but got a space.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. While it may be difficult to find without a GPS once you find the hotel it is worth the effort. The hotel is actually two buildings: a heritage home and a newer building. the view over the river is great and the neighbourhood id excellent if you are looking for a quiet stay.
