We had a very enjoyable stay! The was absolutely gorgeous! The building is beautiful. The staff were so welcoming. Beds were cozy. The hot breakfast was delicious! I can’t wait to stay again!

Great hotel in a historic building. Wide hallways, high ceilings, wood doors and paneling. Very high ceilings in the rooms, spacious too.

We love the Courthouse hotel. This is our 2nd extended stay. The first night there was a boiler issue which caused the room to be on the cool side until the boiler was fixed the next day. We were offered extra blankets but fell asleep before they showed up. Other than that, we enjoyed our time in this hotel. Breakfast was great each morning.

Room is super cold. Heating not working, I set the temperature at 99’f but it only go as high as 65’f, that was only 18’c!! Talked to the front desk right away and was giving a portable heater to get through the night, and was hoping to get a permanent solution for the next day of stay, but nothing happened , even tho we were promised that the management will looking into it and compensate us for the two nights.

I booked an accessible room, thinking it would be of similar quality to a standard room. I learned that the room was in the basement level, immediately below the lobby’s creaky wooden floors. The room smelled of disinfectant and stale air. The bathroom door was heavy and very creaky , meaning a bathroom visit at night would wake your partner. Breakfast was ok.

Lovely modern rooms, good variety of hot/cold food for the continental breakfast. Nice and quiet, a beautiful building. My only real issue was that the TV satellite system was pretty glitchy though. It would be fine on certain channels, but both nights when I tried to change it to - for example - CityTV Toronto, it would go blank and a bunch of the stations suddenly would lose satellite signal. Tried rebooting the unit and it got worse where no satellite signal at all was detected. The overnight/nighttime front desk employee was really helpful and tried to fix it but it still wouldn't work. In the end, it must have rebooted overnight and again, only certain channels worked. That being said, the room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the lake view was lovely!

The serving/ housekeeping staff were very abrupt with us. There was leftover food in the breakfast room at 8 pm when we checked in, and a banquet hall had dirty dishes and food still there in the morning. Our room was very clean, spacious and had nice amenities.

Our room was not ready by check in time but I have to say our room was incredible! Even in the lower level! The hotel has not been renovated to its design potential in the lobby and the grounds and the acces/naming/availability of public areas. So much more could be done to make this an exceptional destination. That said. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet and we would stay again.

I think breakfast needs to improve a little bit.

Beautiful building. When I went to check in for some reason they had cancelled my reservation. Gentleman at the desk was wonderful fixing everything. The rooms don’t feel sound proofed well. I could hear the people above stomping around all night. Would stay again!

What a unique building! The room was spacious and quiet, and the staff amenable. We were able to walk to restaurants and see freighters coming in from our room. It is in a city area, so this might not appeal to some. I just loved how they preserved the character of the building while maintaining a comfortable dwelling for travelers!

It has a lot of old character. Good size room. Comfortable bed. Rooms on one side have a fantastic view of the lake and cargo ships. Furniture in our room was heavily stained. Fridge did not work. Difficult to find main entrance. Poor signage. Not wheelchair accessible. Lots of steps. Difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Breakfast was terrible. The room had spiders. Check in was at 3pm and the room wasn’t even ready yet. Was supposed to have a water view and then “upgraded” to a lovely hospital view 🙄 It’s cute but not worth it..

Not very friendly staff. Very poor selection at breakfast. Need to have instructions on how to work the tv using 2 remotes. Had 2 pages of Shaw channels to supposedly watch but not many available- show what can be watched! Needed some sprucing up in lower rooms in basement.
