Really nice staff and great location next to the bridge, but the decor and furnishings are old, outdated and need to be updated. The lumpy carpet was a safety hazard and "hiding" protruding springs with a sofa slipcover doesn't work.

For what it is it’s a great hotel. Affordable, clean, and nice staff.

First, let me say the property was clean, the staff very kind/friendly/accommodating and the breakfast was good and plentiful. After those highlights, meh. The room furnishings were dated and dark. with poor lighting. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. We had a ground floor room that had no sheer window treatment. Thus, our choices were either a fishbowl open to view by anyone walking by in the parking lot or drawing the blackout curtains on an already dark room. We consider Hampton Inns to be a reliable choice for good quality accommodations. Although this property was clean and otherwise pleasant, the room itself did not live up to our expectations in comparison to previous experiences with this hotel chain.

Rooms are a little tired looking… and shower could have been a bit cleaner ( specifically the shower head, was an older model with water stains ) Staff including house keeping was super friendly and professional… comfortable stay.

We were on the 1st floor and it was sooo loud! It didn’t quite down until after 11 pm.

The staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, professional and helpful throughout our stay. Comfortable rooms, we enjoyed the breakfast especially the waffles. We loved the convenient location close to major attractions and downtown Hartford. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, restaurants and places of attraction such as the Connecticut science centre. Very walkable city with everything clearly signposted. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

We had a two night stay at this hotel and it couldn’t have been more annoying and a waste of time to stay here. First of all, the area and the people in the area are super sketchy. If you want to stay in Hartford, go to the west side. From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we could tell the guy at the cash (I think his name was Terry) was going to be useless. He took 30 minutes just to check us in. That’s a long time considering I had already paid before arriving!!! Once we got to our room and started settling down, we noticed that the entire floor was soaking wet. We immediately told the Terry (who was the only person working in the evenings) and he said I can’t do anything JUST for a wet floor. He was gaslighting us and making us feel stupid for wanting a different room that didn’t have a lake for a floor. We spoke to him again and he showed us a lot of attitude and made us pay to move to a different room, which we did because you couldn’t walk those floors without getting your socks fully wet. All of this, he took more than 1 hour to accomplish because he couldn’t seem to do anything right on his computer. The next morning, we spoke to the manager and another sweet lady working at the front desk and they were super helpful and told us that they will refund us for the extra charge because it wasn’t justified. They also seemed confused why we weren’t just moved to another similar room the night before when there were many rooms available. The breakfast staff was superb!!!
