Awesome anniversary overnight stay

The building is lovely. It seems that we got an upgraded room - larger than I recalled reserving. We happened to mention it was our anniversary and the staff sent a sweet snack box to our room with complimentary juice. Great customer care!

During my stay, I approached the front desk to report an issue with my internet connection. Unfortunately, the response I received from the gentleman at the reception was both arrogant and unprofessional. He suggested that the issue might be due to my watching Netflix, a remark that I found both presumptuous and inappropriate, particularly as I was not streaming anything at the time. Even if I had been, such a comment would have been out of place.
When I asked whether watching Netflix posed a problem in a five-star establishment, his reply was that The Leonardo is not a hotel but a residence. This condescending attitude is not what I expect from an establishment of your reputation.
I believe that all guests should be treated with respect, and such dismissive behavior is unacceptable. I trust that this matter will be addressed promptly to ensure that similar attitudes do not persist in the future.

I stayed two nights at the property. Unfortunately, for both nights the WiFi did not work properly and I had to activate the roaming service to be able to work.
I complained to reception and they ended up giving me 3 different WiFi codes for those two nights. I decided to personally go and explain the issue, and the answer that I got was rude and uncalled for. The receptionist was arrogant and passive agressive.
I’m deeply disappointed. It’s a shame that such a nice property has this type of service. It’s my first and last time at this location. The infrastructure is very good but I personally had a horrible experience with service.

Rooms are very nice. This hotel has some serious power issues. Power was out for over 12 hours in one of the rooms.

Loved the location and that it is within walking distance to Mandela Sq. The living space is very big, with a downstairs kitchenette and lounge and upstairs sleeping area - it had a studio feel to it, with lots of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. The sheets were beautiful and I slept very well.
I note that since it does not have a work area, the Leonardo is not marketed as a business hotel, but more for luxury leisure stays, is this the case? This notwithstanding, it is a great place to stay (and one can use the dining table downstairs). I hope to return soon and stay on an even higher floor to better enjoy the views over Sandton.

Very nice and luxurious apartment hotel in Sandton. Only minus was TV-set has only one chanel available? Breakfast was for one client free even we had 90 m2 executive suite for two person. So the other of us must pay breafast daily.

The hotel has gorgeous views of sandton, I love that the are enough windows for light and total blockout curtains if you do not want the light. The hotel is super clean and the apartment is specious.
The only thing that disappointed me was the receptionist on Sunday morning, I requested an extra chair, she said i should give her some time she will get back to me, she never did. Even at check out there was no communication. Very disappointing. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

It really was a fantastic spoil. Dinner at Aurum was also great. Overall a fantastic 5-star city break.

This impressive hotel is not finished. It is however very well located and has several wow factors mainly its stylish decor, artwork, and amazing views of Sandton and surrounding areas of Joburg. Very comfortable with a very decent pool, gym, spa, and dining facilities.
