Our tiny home is a one bedroom, one bath with a Queen bed and twin bed. All our mattresses are hybrid spring and memory foam to promote a good night's sleep. Our full kitchen has an oven, microwave, stove top, toaster oven, and coffee maker. We have basic plates, pots, pans, and utensils for your convenience. Welcome to Kope Hale Farm, we are a market gardener, we provide local organic vegetables to the island markets. Here, you will be surrounded by coffee trees, harvest coffee with us if it’s in season. It is our goal to produce high-quality Hawaiian coffee and live sustainably from our Aina (land). We have fruit trees and vegetables around you can enjoy. We harvest rainwater and have a Quantum UV filter for potable water.
Our place is simple and easy, with no stairs to climb minimalist design to let you focus on what is important. Enjoy and relax during your stay with us in the Big Island rainforest. Puna Kai Shopping Center, Pahoa is quaint downtown and Keaau is 15 minutes away where you can find grocery stores, restaurants, laundry, or just watch the local scene.
Our home is centrally located between Hilo and Volcano. Makuu Farmers Market on Sundays, which is just outside the community, is an experience you will never forget. Find trinkets, souvenirs, and local food here. If not staying on Sunday, no worries, Hilo Farmers Market, which is open every day offers the same experience. Go and try new and exotic fruits! Visit Rainbow Falls, boiling pots, and Akaka Falls or just sit by the water and enjoy your new food finds. The Volcano National Park is where Kilauea is, an active volcano. Here you can feel the heat of the volcano and hike the Lava Tube or the crater (4 miles). Stay until dark to see the orange glow and lava flow.
Don’t forget to check out Pohoiki Natural Hot Ponds to remove your aches and pains after your adventures.
Here on the Island, you will hear both wild and domestic animals. If these sounds bother you, you can just close your doors and windows. We also keep light to a minimum so we can enjoy the beauty of the sky!
