The property was close to the very small town centre.

The staff member I interacted with didn't seem like he wanted to deal with any of the issues - there were a few ranging from the Internet stopping to a potential smell of gas. There were a lot of dolls around the building, which I found strange.

mirror in bathroom so low I had to use a chair to sit in front of the sink to do my hair! LOL

EVERYTHING!!! We stayed in the Carriage House part of the Inn. Very cosy and quiet.

Staff were awesome, the esthetic was great, great place to sleep after a long travel. The dining room and sitting rooms were gorgeous.

We had a lovely stay at the Marshlands Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our rooms, and the rest of the Inn, were clean, comfortable, and pleasingly appointed.

Room was small, but cozy and comfortable. As it was snowy weather, it was fine for the stay. Had paid breakfast and it was delicious.

Room should have a microwave and kettle so that one can have hot food / tea or coffee whenever the guests like.

Lots of charm and character, very warm and cozy, very clean, excellent food!

Close to everything. I cycled the town. Big back yard with chairs, picnic area. The decor!!! Wifi.

Not much here....I like a fire pit with seating in that gorgeous, quiet, scenic back yard. Some dust bunnies un my room. Turn fridge on before guest arrives. I travelled with a big cooler. No microwave or coffee , kettle access.

When we checked in (before 5 p.m.), I asked whether we needed a reservation for dinner at the inn. The woman at the desk replied that no reservation was necessary. After we had gone to our room, I decided to check further with her to see if there was a busy time we should avoid, so I walked back over to her office. I was told that any time was fine. When we arrived at the dining room about 7 p.m., the young man waiting on about 4-5 tables told us that they were full for the evening. When I expressed surprise, he was unapologetic, but did say that they only had one person in the kitchen to do the cooking and serving. He gave us directions to a couple of local restaurants, but didn't seem the least concerned that we were upset. The woman who checked us in was nowhere to be seen. It was just such a bizzarre experience. I would also comment that Bookings.com's description of the inn's "timeless antiques" is a bit of an exaggeration, in my mind. Perhaps I just don't appreciate Victoriana all that much, but it felt more like clutter than decoration to me.

It was strange and creepy. Felt like I was put in the servants quarters.

I didn't have breakfast. The location is great - within easy walking distance of the centre of town and the university.

The veranda was very inviting but we were not dressed warm enough to enjoy. Dinner was lovely.

To many curtains, and didn’t like the carpeting on the wall. The chair in our room was quite rickety. We took a ton of time to figure out how to use the tv and then there were hardly any options to choose from to watch.
