My husband and I stayed in the queen studio for 4 nights. It was immaculate and cute as can be. There was lots of attention to detail, and things like the robes, blankets, and bath products were high quality. Bobbi was awesome and very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would have liked is a microwave to heat our leftovers, but she did offer to let us use the kitchen in the other studio. The property was lovely and private and perfectly located. We loved every thing about it!

Everything in our room was presented in a most charming and warm way. It's impressive how the space available is arranged in a very practical and yet extremely charming way. We loved the place and at this time of the year it's very reasonably priced.

Since the owners were not at home when we arrived it was not immediately clear where we were to go. We took a chance by walking into the guest room that seemed available because the door was unlocked.

Great location (walking distance to South Chesterman Beach), cozy room, and comfortable bed. If only the weather was better, views from the deck would be better. Chocolates as a welcome gift were a nice touch :)

The Blackbear Guesthouse was absolutely beautiful and spacious - in an awesome location directly across from Chesterman beach & an 8 min drive into town! The hosts were super helpful with timely responses. We absolutely loved our stay here & we’ll definitely be back :)

We planned for a day of biking - however, when we went to use them, the chains were quite rusted and one of the seats were torn. Not a huge deal as they were offered for free, but unfortunately we couldn’t use them!

We loved this little suite, and the location was perfect for our short visit to Tofino. This guest house has a beautifully laid out suite, and is a very convenient location for those that love to walk the beaches, watch the sunset, or play in the surf at Chesterman's. There is a boardwalk to the left of the property that leads to a small deck overlooking the ocean, on the eastern side of the peninsula, with a nice panoramic view. Bobbi is a wonderful, courteous, and helpful host, and we highly recommend staying at her guest house. We would gladly return!

Our only complaint was that the bed is not comfortable for those with sore and ailing backs.

The hot tub and location were our favourite things about this property! They had bikes for us to borrow and it was 2 minutes to the beach. Super clean and fully equipped!

We would have loved for there to be more mirrors outside of the bathroom and a dryer for all of our wet clothes and towels.

TY for the stay at your fine accommodation and it was quiet and very clean. The price was affordable and parking was a bonus along with the Expresso machine. We are coming again next year and will book in advance with you. TY again Vanessa and Lawrence

Fantastic stay at the Black Bear, the location was fantastic - less than 10 minutes by car to the center of town. It was nice and quiet, very clean and the amenities were great. Having in suite-laundry was fantastic. The water front patio seating was a great way to spend the mornings overlooking the inlet. The hosts were lovely and happy to top up our coffee in the mornings :) Would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Tofino!

Lovely room, comfy bed, beautiful decor and I felt instantly at home and relaxed.

The location was perfect for us, in a quiet neighbourhood, close to all amenities and the beach just a short walk away. Everything was as described. We enjoyed the use of the barfridge, coffee maker and kettle. There were some very thoughtful touches like raincoats.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable/ the parking was terrible( our vehicle ended up being jammed beside a can in the driveway and couldn’t even get out the passenger door/ a nightmare trying to get out. Most importantly we were kept awake until 11:30 PM by the sound of childrens voices and stomping: walking on the floor above our bed

Convenient. The property was amazing! Loved that there was no tv and there was coffee.

There are 2 rentals on the same page and it was confusing. Super disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t included in the cedar suite. That was one of the reasons why I booked it. There was no instructions prior to arriving, we just kinda opened a door and hoped for the best.

Location was excellent. Good value for money. Stayed in the Cedar room and it had everything that we needed. It was caringly decorated and gives the impression of 5 star plus accommodation

The owner was kind enough to allow an early check in. Good for a one night stay.

You could hear every movement from the apartment above us.
