the jacuzzi didn’t work, the hot water didn’t work, the shower was broken. the room was freezing when we arrived and took hours to heat up.

Very friendly owners & great food from the Chinese restaurant. Huge rooms & love the security cameras on the parking spots, gives you peace of mind. They give you coffee grounds and a French press (we had to Google how to use it!) but the grounds were amazing, wish we left later so we could have bought some beans.

Very strong cleaner smell when we walked in, but honestly atleast you know they did it!

When I booked the room, there weren't many left in Kenora. This one was on the pricey side. I had no idea what to expect. When I got there, I was extremely surprised. The property is terraced with a dolphin fountain, all nestled in a quiet treed setting. Then my room was even more of a surprise. It was actually a living room and bedroom combo with a gabled wooden ceiling. Hanging right in the middle is a model plane! How cool is that?! The room absolutely exceeded my expectations and was one of the nicest rooms on my whole trip. And if that wasn't enough, I was greeted by two deer when I got up in the morning. Deer not guaranteed for every guest.

The room was really cold when I arrived. I turned the heat to high and it took awhile to warm up because the space is so large. The other thing that I didn't like was the lack of lighting. Overall, the rooms were rather dark.

Location was ok and accommodation was just about acceptable

Manager was unhelpful, charged double what was the price. Nobody was around in the morning (key drop-off box), reception was locked.

The desk manager doubled as an order-taker for a Chinese take out restaurant. We asked for help with the luggage, since there were several levels of stairs. This feature was not mentioed in the description of the inn. He said he couldn't leave his desk. He offered us a downgraded unit on the main floor, but couldn't reduce the price. When I asked if I could see the units before choosing, he said no. He then refunded me and said I no longer had a reservation. We were left stranded at 4 pm on a Saturday in a town with no vacancies. We had to drive to Winnipeg two hours away. Bad experience all around.

Loved my room. Tasteful, beautifully set up with the wall unit giving privacy to the bedroom area. Two TV's'! Rooms were quiet, large, with a bit of an Asian overtone which I love. Not a chain motel..

The rooms were spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable.

Not enough attention to cleanliness details. Previous occupant’s opened water bottles left in the fridge. Floors dirty. One bed was made with dirty sheets still on it (hair and dirt very apparent). The young man at the desk was by himself and trying to manage the restaurant as well as my problem. He was very kind and accommodating and did all that he could. In the end, the sheets were changed and I was very happy to stay in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the Inn location was so quiet.

No breakfast available but nice location.

Cannot get the property to give me a proper receipt because I booked through booking. com. When I tried to book directly with them, they said they had nothing available but lots available through booking.com. So finding them a bit frustrating.

Location was good.

Toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall, shelf above toilet was falling out of wall, entryway isn’t cleared and is overgrown by ivy… just doesn’t seem like a 4+ star stay or worth the money. We also ran out of hot water while showering. For $270 dollars I expected a lot more.
