I booked this hotel after reading it had received Two Michelin Key, however, my stay at Mayfair House in Coconut Grove was just ok. The property is beautiful, with lush gardens and stunning art deco architecture. Couldn’t stop taking photos. The highlight of our stay was taking the outdoor silent disco spin class. The instructor was AMAZING! The rooftop pool was beautiful and we truly enjoyed the DJ on the Sunday afternoon.

Our stay had its ups and downs. Upon check-in at 4:30 PM, our room was not ready, and we had to wait an hour and a half. This was inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel, but the manager did provide us with three complimentary drinks, which helped ease the frustration. We also had to wait over an hour for the valet car to arrive, which was quite frustrating and had to jump in an Uber to avoid being late to dinner reservations. During the night, there was a water leakage from the floor above, causing a massive flood in our bedroom. This was a major inconvenience and disrupted our stay. Breakfast was also disappointing. The pancakes were sitting on the kitchen warmer for over eight minutes, so they were cold by the time they were served to us. The rooms could use some attention. The color scheme is too dark, and adding artwork on the walls would enhance the atmosphere. At the pool, there was no attendant to clean after guests, leaving cups and used towels behind. Overall, while the property has potential and some lovely features, there were significant issues during our stay that need to be addressed.

They charged me $21 for a sprite which we used from the mini bar, it’s attrocious

The hotel service was amazing (food service less so). Jason in particular at the front desk was attentive and helpful. The grounds of the hotel are lush with plants and you feel like you're outside (it's an open atrium so you kind of are). The room felt secluded and quiet, and it was well appointed. Overall the property and the stay was very enjoyable. I was a bit concerned about some older reviews but the property had recently undergone some renovations, which was the subject of most of the feedback.

I could hear the water running through the pipes at night. I'm a lighter sleeper than I used to be and didn't get the best night's sleep on the first night as a result. I was used to it the second night so it was fine. On to food service. Overall it was lacking, however I do feel it's important to note that this appears to be a Miami thing, not necessarily specific to the hotel. I guess everyone is on island time? Many of the folks who waited on us in food establishments were not friendly or particularly welcoming, and at breakfast on our last morning before departing it took FOREVER to get our check, despite telling the server when he dropped the food that he could go ahead and bring it. It took so long that we didn't have time to do all of the things we wanted to before leaving. I will say the pool servers and bartenders were great.

Extraordinary design, great and prompt service, comfortable beds and pillows, beautiful and big rooms, a lot of Green plants all over the place. Nice swimming pool on the rooftop . Nice fitness room opened 24 hours. Very nice neighborhood with a lot of places to eat and drink around it and exclusive shops around.

Far away from public transportation. You need a car or taxi for traveling to the tourist attractions and Miami Beach

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous & very comfortable for a family of four. The room is well decorated.

The valet is inattentive & check in felt a little cold. The elevator was difficult to use and required extra steps. Luggage trolly took over an hour.

Everything, location, vibe, neighborhood

Rooms were very dark. With all the plants cover there was no natural light but even the lights in the room were dim. Brighter lighting would make this place more amazing.
