location and I liked the mattress

we were checking in late at night, it was cold and windy. I didn’t receive the email with the code, it was sent to booking.com but never got delivered to my email like the rest of the emails. I pushed the call button and told him I didn’t have the code. He said check your email and hung up before I could tell him I didn’t get the email. so I called again. he said I looked it was sent to Booking.com, I told him I booked online at home on my computer and didn’t have the login information on my phone. he came down and took my phone and scrolled through all my emails to make sure I wasn’t lying all while we stood outside in the cold. finally he let us in. the hallway also has a smell of diesel. it reminded me of being on a marine ferry.

The road parking in front of the Duckworth Inn is good. However, I don't know if they will close it for the summer to put the patio back. The location is very close to the Duke of Duckworth Bar which is perfect for us. We only have to go upstairs to sleep after.

The building and the room are ancient. It needs a little bit of renovation and fresh paint. Everytime we stayed there, seagulls woke us up every morning. Well, we can't do anything about that.

The air conditioner was laid in the closet which was extremely dirty.

Affordable, clean, prime location! Honestly, it was just perfect.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The food was good in the lounge.

When they say it's noisy, believe them. Kept up until 3am with bar music and talking in the street. Also, a mouse came into my room. Didn't stay for the second night of my reservation.

Loved the location, it was right downtown so it was great for walking to restaurants and the harbour! We opted for the private washroom, and the room was so cozy! Everything was super clean and staff ensured we knew how to access the building so it was a seamless check in.

We didn’t have any issues with this hotel, it was beyond what we expected!

Hotel was right in the middle of town so very close to all attractions. A lot was within walking distance

Didn’t like large stain on bed covering and extra blankets were hanging off shelf - not sure if the blankets were clean. Also room was stuffing - needed some fresh air.
