Bed was very comfortable. HVAC was rather loud and it was difficult to get the temperature to a comfortable level. At one point we had to switch to ac because it got very warm.

Location was wonderful

The staff were rude upon arrival. Told me I hadn’t paid online already come to find out they looked at the wrong booking, this lasted about 45 mins for them to realize. Staff stated the deposit was $150 while booking.com states $100 another couple came to check in they were clearly platinum members because they were told $100 security deposit and upgraded without asking also given a 4pm checkout and a comped room once renovations are finished. Meanwhile still telling me the deposit is $150. Manager stated he would like give is a nice dinner but then we get a $200 charge! Booking.com is also filing complaints against the hotel as this was a horrible experience for my 3 children, myself and my husband.

I have received 4 different invoices, all incorrect, and I explained twice to staff that I had already paid for my room in full. I was only expecting to pay room taxes and parking. Still waiting for clarification. The gym was smelly, and there was no hot water for a whole day.

Location was OK. We did have problems. The first room had no hot water, and we were shifted to another room which was smaller, had fewer facilities and seemed to be a downgrade (no bath, only 1 luggage rack, 1 armchair, smaller vanity, and in a noisy location overlooking the street and beside a stairwell). We were concerned about bed bugs, and moved again to a third room. The staff were attentive to the problems, and did cover the cost of laundry of clothing at risk of bug infestation. Breakfast staff Emebet and Ney were great.

See comments above. Although the management responded appropriately, the issues still cost us time and sleep. The hotel is showing its age in the corridors, rooms and general decor.

There wasn’t anything that stood out that I didn’t like. The restrooms could have been cleaner, monitored more often, some customers can make a mess and not clean up after themselves.

I love how spacious and clean the rooms were, the staff at the reception were great giving recommendations on places to eat etc I didnt like that the rooms didnt have any slippers toiletries

The beds were very comfortable and the AC didn't give the room a musty odor. The room was also mostly quiet even though we were close to the elevators.

I chose the Westin because the Marriott is supposed to be a powerhouse but some of the front desk employees and the general condition of the room left a bad taste in my mouth. We got there at about 7am and were perfectly fine with waiting; after five hours we were able to pay but were told we'd get a message when the room was ready. After several more hours of watching other people get rooms well before check-in, we went back up to the desk and they were confused about why we had been waiting so long and almost charged me again. We eventually had to take a double instead of a king because the only available king was ADA compliant and we didn't want to inconvenience anyone who might need it more. When we finally got to our room the bathroom door had strange gouge mark in it, there were scuffs on the ceiling and there were a few stains on the carpet.

It was safe and cool. Great shower and toiletries.

Bed was hard. No room service. No pool. Website said dream beds, robes and room service. Got none of those things. Lobby Starbucks rarely open. On Sunday and Monday on a holiday weekend the only food at night was the nearby convenience store. Really had planned on room service to fill that gap.

Room was clean and comfortable. Valet staff were excellent. Room size is generous and has plenty of power outlets, shower is great. Hotel is well located and on a quieter side street reasonably close to public transport and easy to drive to. There is no self service parking and all cars are valet parked. Valet car retrieval was quick and easy.

An old, tired hotel. Staff have no enthusiasm or flair. Rooms are dated and most overlook the central lobby meaning curtains always shut and no natural light into the room. Air intake is clearly near a smoking spot as the smell is ever present in rooms near the air vent. Bar is expensive with limited variety and very slow service. A manager stalks around in a suit but doesn't interact or help with service. Bar staff sit on a corner table and don't serve the bar or offer particularly fast table service. With plenty of nearby food and drink options, there's no real strong points in bar or front of house service. For a hotel under the Westin brand, the soft experience should have been much higher.

Convenient location, design of rooms

Parking was exorbitant. We had to park several blocks away. Breakfast was very expensive and even though I requested our room be cleaned, it wasn’t.

The bathroom was kinda old and the bathroom shower handle wasn't fixed after we requested maintenance to fix it. The door handle was loose.

Good location, nice concierge staff!

The windows facing the lobby subjects you to a lot of echo from below—it was quite loud and sounded like you were in a swimming pool. The room was also not properly vacuumed (there was a vitamin on the ground when we first arrived).

Quiet and very peaceful. Upgraded to a room looking over the Dupont circle, but it was a long walk from the elevator. Thank you to, Mr. KEVIN, for helping us to our room with our bags!

No pool. Not much to do in the lobby if you aren't a drinker.

Totally a mess system! Knocked my door during 9 P.M and told me I should downstairs to swipe credit card to extend one night fees. After few minutes they told me that I don't need downstairs,their system has some problems.

Mandatory valet parking eliminated the savings on the room. The carpet in the halls was filthy.
