We always wanted to stay at this hotel, it did not disappoint very clean, great location.
A code was needed to use the bathrooms in reception which was a bit of a nuisance

Great location! Property was well kept, clean and comfortable. The room was spacious for San Francisco. I was a little surprised by that. The staff were great and valet parking was super convenient.
The bed was really comfortable but I was not a fan of the pillows. They were flat, you needed 100 of them to make one decent pillow. It would be better if they provided at least two substantial pillows instead of all under-stuffed down.

A localização é ótima, bem perto de Fisherman's Wharf e Pier 39, apenas cinco minutos a pé, o café da manhã é a la carte foi bom mas não surpreendeu.
O quarto é muito bom, aconchegante e a cama bem confortável assim como o banheiro é espaçoso.
Achei muito caro o estacionamento 38 dolares por dia.
A academia é razoável, contém os aparelhos básicos, de boa qualidade mas poderia melhorar.

Très agréable séjour à l'Argonaut Hôtel, très bien placé, personnel très serviable et très bonne table.
Les lits sont trop hauts pour s'y assoir et dommage que le restaurant et le bar ferment à 21h30 et donc d'offrir aux clients la possibilité de profiter du salon autour d'un dernier verre.

Had stayed at the Argonaut many years ago and wanted to stay again. Had an all night flight from Tokyo and was exhausted when we arrived in San Francisco. We had to pay $79 to check in early at the hotel but needed to sleep so we paid it, but did not expect that.

Tolle Lage bei den Piers. Alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Erhielten pro Tag einen Gutschein über 15 Dollar für das Restaurant.
Für den Early Check-in mussten wir extra zahlen, obwohl das Zimmer fertig und frei war. Fenster kann man nicht öffnen.

Customer service either very good or very poor. Reception on arrival quite brusque, I had to ask for a map and was given it with an arrow for where the hotel located but no offers of explaining where key sights were, transport etc. Luckily we are very good at doing things for ourselves. Doormen - chap with white hat very helpful. Tall thin chap - didn't acknowledge us or offer to help us/open door when coming/going. Concierge pretty useless had no idea of tours of what hotel offered even though we referenced their web site.

Nice hotel in a quiet location
Restaurant and bar were only open Thursday to Sunday, and Sunday was a limited menu. Housekeeping is every other day which is fine, however the service is early, if the room is not vacated by 9:30 - 10:00 a message is left and you will get no service that day.

Staff especially receptionists were the WORST WE HAVE EVER SEEN ( and we travelled 54 countries). Please do yourselves a favor and fire them. They damage the reputation of your hotel. They were ( both men ) unmannered, lack of courtesy, lack of empathy, low class behaviour ( would be perfect in a 1 star hotel ), low level of english, totally not at the level you hope your hotel to get one day.
Never will we come back again.

Die Lage war natürlich sehr schön. Insbesondere dann, wenn man wie wir ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die Golden Gate Bridge gebucht hat. (erheblicher Aufpreis) Die Cable Car Station direkt vor der Haustür. Alles fussläufig erreichbar, z.Bsp. nach Chinatown oder zum Union Square. Die Lage des Hotels ist sicher, man kann auch nachts ohne Bedenken vor die Haustür gehen. Natürlich liegt das Hotel im touristischen Teil von SF.
Der Zimmerpreis und die Kosten für das parken sind schon wie fast überall in Californien überaus hoch und ist eigentlich nie wirklich gerechtfertigt. Das Abendessen im Restaurant ist eher durchschnittlich. Bessere Restaurants gibts in direkter fussläufiger Umgebung.

Wir hatten hohe Erwartungen - direkt am Fisherman's Wharf mit Blick auf die Golden Gate Bridge oder die Bay mit Alcatraz (Achtung, muss explizit so gebucht werden) - und wurden nicht enttäuscht, im Gegenteil. Ein wunderbares Hotel mit allem Service, sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereiten Personal, herrliche stilvoll ausgestatteten Zimmern mit sensationellem Blick, toller Atmosphäre und allerbester Lage. Wir konnten mit dem Fahrrad (Verleih mit Discount über das Hotel) zur und über die Golden Gate Brücke fahren, ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Zu den Ablegern der Schiffe und zum berühmten Pier 39 mit den Seelöwen ist es ein kurzer Spaziergang. Auch das Frühstück - zu den in USA üblichen hohen Preisen - war toll und an einem Abend haben wir auch gut im Hotel gegessen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt !

A small group of us went to SF ,the hotel is in a safe area .We were interested in the history of the hotel and enjoyed its charm however it was up dated and very comfortable.Staff friendly and respectful.Beds and pillows comfortable.
