Pool was awesome; Staff was very friendly, beds were comfortable.

Bathrooms need an update (ventilation, better door, taller shower head; Didn't like that I paid for pool side and got roof side instead of pool side.

We have stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions so I knew what view I wanted so I booked an ocean sea view room. The room was very large and comfortable and had everything you could need. I would have liked a kettle instead of the coffee machine as the machine was old and tasted of metal. Having a fridge is an added bonus. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom let the room down really as it was quite outdated and dark and just needed a revamp. Every time we ran the sink tap the smell was awful, the hotel did send someone to look and it improved for a day or two only.

Semi luxury hotel, felt very comfortable and upscale. Central location.

Unfortunately not by the beach so a shuttle of some sort would be nice, even golf carts!! Would make it very convenient to stay there!!

Beautiful and convenient location. Front desk ( especially Angel ) and housekeeping people were exceptional. Lunch at the bar was very good and young man that served us was wonderful. Loved the pool. Concierge very attentive.

Rooms outdated and could use deep cleaning in bathroom ( grout, fixtures, floors). Overpriced. Had 2 rooms - one deluxe, one executive which were identical and yet was charged different prices for the rooms.

Perfect place to stay for the BeachLife Festival! The hotel was lovely and the staff was super helpful for such a busy weekend.

The only downside was that we rented bikes and got stranded in Venice Beach because one broke. The bikes don’t actually belong to the hotel, which we didn’t realize. It was a bit complicated getting it all resolved but the bike owner was really nice and covered all our costs without question.

The location is great... we enjoyed the salt water pool. The entry area of the facility in current and has a classy vibe. #747, housekeeping was responsive and polite.

The room was dated, the furniture worn, bed skirt needs to be removed/sanitized. There should be a microwave. The ground in pool area needs to be resurfaced, the jacuzzi needs updating also. A continental breakfast would be a nice things to offer.

The air conditioning made a terrible noise. Luckily, it was cool enough that I could shut it off. I had to aski for more toilet paper and wash cloths. The worst thing that happened was that I was offered a $10 credit for food at the cafe. I asked again at breakfast and was assured it would come off my final bill. It did not. When I questioned, Eric, one of the front desk staff, he asked me for a receipt. I did not have it. I told him exactly what I ate, and that it seemed like they added, not subtracted $10. he kind of grudgingly said he'd take it off my bill but it would take some time. I do not think it's happened yet.

Our stay in Sonesta was the last stop of our family holiday to California. We booked 3 rooms and were not advised on check-in that if we wanted our rooms cleaning, we needed to request this. I was only advised of this on the 2nd day of our 4 day stay. I then requested the rooms be cleaned and fresh towels. We were given fresh towels, but unfortunately, despite many requests, our rooms were not cleaned, dirty towels were not removed, and shower gel was not replenished. By the end of our stay, we had amassed a large mound of dirty towels, which was not very nice. I suspect there was a problem with the cleaners as when we first checked in outside our room was an empty wine bottle and 2 dirty glasses that remained there until late on the following day....alarm bells should have rung then!! The breakfast was good. However, it was very expensive. The one saving grace was that due to the poor service received, the hotel agreed to waiver the "destination tax" on all 3 rooms. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff, very clean and I'm fussy and homely especially bar area. Room was a good size the bar does great small plates for 7 dollars during happy hour. Really enjoyed staying here. Concierge Maria was really upbeat and friendly. .

Restaurant was really expensive for breakfast so we went else where.

Bathroom lighting was awful-could barely see to put on makeup No place to hang towels or my bathroom caddy in the bathroom The Ottoman to put the luggage on, was all cracked and left residue on my suitcase The coffee was not restocked in our room the first night, we had to call and ask for regular coffee and cups The room was just old and needed to be updated The pool was underwhelming. Did not make me want to go out and relax by the pool. It was small and had no vegetation around to make it feel like an oasis. Would normally like to lay by the pool and read a book… But did not give off those vibes

There was an unpleasant smell in the corridor. We had room cleaning just one of the days. The bathroom sink was blocked. People at reception and concierge are nice and friendly.

The rooms were old and need and update. The furniture is dated and bathrooms were more for a motel. The rooms were not very clean and the lightbulb in the bathroom was broken. Asked a couple of times for someone to come fix it and it was never addressed.

Rooms were not automatically cleaned every day. I had to ask to clean the room and empty waste paper baskets otherwise no one came in to see the condition of the room! No one advised me that such a request had to be made on a dialy basis!. Inadequate and automatic provision of coffee or tea should be done automatically on a daily basis. For a minimum rate that was charged of $250- 280/day plus 5 additional taxes for a total stay over 8 nights, it is ridiculous to have such daily services not automatically included within the rate charged.
