Olde world character
There seemed to be a shortage of staff to supply food and drink in a reasonable time frame

Our spacious room overlooking the ocean was clean and beautiful. Great sunrise views.
The beach wasn’t as clean as I expected.

Had room service which was extremely expensive for the amount of food and value
3 English muffins, coffee, and bacon $77!!!

Great staff at pool and beach
Nothing

I like the private beach with chairs and umbrellas provided with no extra charge. I like the heated pool. I like the "we will do everything for our guests" attitude.
4.1

Second time back in a month food is great as is service love this place we extended another day but had to check out and recheck in so I did it there and would have preferred to use booking . Com but didn’t know how.

Da praia. Local muito agradável e mar tranquilo.
Quarto muito rústico e não prezam muito pela Limpeza. Colchão muito mole.

Beautiful, right on the beach, very nice room.
So much garbage in the bushes by the pool and in the grass by the ocean. Lots of wind, but you could tell some has been there for a very long time and just neglected. Also, the pool guy Hugo is so overbearing about being tipped. Right away when putting down two towels (and that’s literally all he did), he says “I have to remind you that we work ONLY on tips, it is the only way we get paid, so please remember to tip us.” And then he mentioned his TripAdvisor card and QR scan. He ran after me to give me one later in the day. All he did was put two towels down, and I am very certain that he is paid by the hotel. I have worked in hotels for decades and never had a “free” employee. Tipping should be discretionary, never pushed on someone. I always tip because of being in a tipped job for so many years. But this was a total put off.

Everything except our service in the restaurant
The server we had in the restaurant was horrible and we were charged for water but not told we would be.

The pool was small but nice, beach was also fine, room was pretty.
Resort fee 42$ + tax per night, funny, you pay that much money which includes pool chairs but when you go to use the pool they don’t have enough chairs for you and the pool close at 6pm! Joke! Valet parking 48$ +tax per night!!!!! If you don't need ur car everyday, i highly recommend to go to SoFlo valet at their hotel, they want only 20$ and 15$ for hotel guests!. Didn’t take shampoo? No worries, they don’t have the small which you can use, normal in every hotel right? Here, u have to buy one for 16$ each hahaha.
Our room was full of sand when we arrived , but i read in the comments that’s normal, also cleaning lady will knock on your door at 9am when you still sleep:)). Ašo just 2 elevators, don't be mad kf you waiting 5min just to go down:). You can’t use the fridge either, wanted to put my drinks in there they said if I take those out I am gonna pay. never going back, that was the worst hotel we were staying at, you better spend that money at Ritz Carlton

Beach and pool. Servicers in the pool area were very helpful.
How you originally put us on the second floor over looking a canopy with bird poop all over it. When I specifically called and requested a higher level room for the $$$$ we paid to surprise my husband who has a serious illness (non contagious) he has not been on a vacation for 20 years or back to Ft Lauderdale for 30 years. My request fell on deaf ears! Also, we really wish you had a fridge in the unit that would accommodate other things than your stock. A coffee bar would be a nice offering to your guests 24/7.

The location and esthetics/ ambiance were great!
I did NOT like that my card was automatically charged $50 upon check out when I nor my guess touched anything in the minibar. When asked why there was a charge the front desk stated that they added it at the beginning of my stay. I requested it be removed since I did not eat anything and had taken pictures of everything when checking out so the $50 was refunded only for me to wake up the next morning and find yet another charge for the minibar of $14.84 which was annoying because again the minibar was still fully stocked when I checked out so they claimed they were removing the charge only to let it hit my account so I had the bank take care of it! Don’t continue to try and charge me for something I did not eat, use or take!

Private beach, great views. Small quaint hotel.
Pricey cocktails.

The location, specially the view of the beach is lovely. The bedroom was very clean and nice.
I wake up early in the morning with the noice of washing machines or something like that. it was a petty because until that I really liked the hotel.
Probably another room it is different and I wasn’t lucky.

The resort was beautiful and right on the beach! We rented an ocean side suite and was very pleased with the view, the space, the beds were comfortable and staff were very courteous. We liked that there was dining on site and even next door. The resort is close to shopping, other eating options and attractions. We loved the accommodations and convenience of the beach life. Staff were very kind and polite. The night view off the porch was amazing! We are a family of 5 and had ample room.
Our fridge was warm upon arrival and was turned to the coolest setting. We had brought in our own beverages and requested either a small cooler or our fridge to be swapped out and didn't get either request acknowledged.
Also, don't use the bathroom amenities! Bring your own. There is an upcharge for everything. The bar had wonderful drinks, but were very spendy.

Access to the beach included with two chairs and an umbrella. The room was cozy and the food was great!
The pool area was smaller than I expected. Very pricey.

I thought the breakfast was nice, I thought the pool was way too small
I left a day early and they would not refund any money at all and they also charge me for parking for the third day of which my car wasn’t there that is upsetting

View was excellent. Room was spacious. Internet worked fine.
Light switches were a little complicated in the bedroom. After a couple hours, the fan light would pop on suddenly, waking you up. There was a wall control for it, but you needed a magnifying glass to read the settings and regardless, the switch was one I've never seen before and it was far from what I'd say is normal for the general public to figure out. The nightstand lights were operated by a wall switch, with a control at the lamp, but there was an LED light on the lamp that couldn't be controlled at the lamp so you had to turn both lamps off at the wall switch if you wanted to sleep, leaving you no way to turn on a light at night should you need to for any reason without getting out of bed and finding the wall switch in the dark. Funny, but they'd be better off with a voice response switch or maybe the Clapper(TM) if they're going to stick with this lamp design.
There was no bar sink. The only access to water was at the bathroom sink, at one end of the room with the coffee maker at the other end. And no microwave. If I owned that room, I would put a coffee bar with sink, fridge and microwave along the common plumbing wall shared by the bathroom. And the fridge was very small and mostly filled up with overpriced soft drinks and other cans or bottles of things we weren't interested in.
I'm also not a fan of Valet Parking, but I get why they have to do it. It's just that if you forget something and leave it in the car, you have to bother them to get your car or send someone to fetch the item instead of doing this yourself. And it costs almost $50 a day for valet parking.
The other thing was the shower hot water. The control would not allow you to get any cold water at all. The coldest setting was almost scalding, probably 130 to 140 degrees in my estimate. Never thought I'd have to complain about having too much hot water.

Pelican was amazing! Staff were helpful and welcoming. Beautiful views and delicious food. Convenient location. Easy beach access. Clean pool and lazy river.
4.1
The place was nice. The pool staff and the beach staff were great.
Chris and Frankie were awesome.
The view from 412 amazing. The room was huge.
One thing that could go both ways is the seating at the pool. You have to wait for them to sit you. Which is great, but if you want to move around chase the sun or shade you cant just move your own stuff. you have to go ask and wait for them to move you.
The plugs in the bathroom of the room I was staying in were worn out. I could not plug anything in and had to do my hair in the room move the TV stand to get behind to plug it in. room service i had to ask for and if anyone ever stays on the beach we know how floors get.

We very much enjoyed having a hotel right on the beach where we did not have to see any traffic from our room. The views were amazing and the weather was beautiful. Sunny with a nice cooling breeze. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool had a lazy river right next to it that was awesome for the children. I also liked, very much, that the Catholic Church was a half mile walk up the street. The wait staff and employees were friendly and readily available to assist in any way such as taking care of your luggage, setting up your beach chair and umbrella, or getting you another drink.
I did not like there was no coffee pot in the room. I was not impressed that the menu would describe a meal a certain way and it would be different. For example my salad said Feta Cheese. There was no feta cheese on it at all. The fries.. Little things like that.

Check in was smooth. We had a room on the 7th floor with 2 queen beds and a separate living room. Past that was a balcony with 2 chairs and a table with an ocean view. Great rooms! Food was served on the porch overlooking the beach - great views. Pool was clean. Beach was almost "private" and the hotel provided lounges and umbrellas. Good sandy beach with only a bit of washed up seaweed. They also had a coffee shop with knick knacks and gelato for the adults and kids. On Sat they had a bar set up by the pool for smoothies etc.
Not much if anything. We were there for 4 days and the menu did not change - they had daily specials for dinner but I would have enjoyed a bit of variety.
