Clean and things were in good shape. Wifi good. Sack takeaway for breakfast were a nice touch.

Electricity went out in part of Colby for at least a couple of hours. There was no backup lighting in the stairwells and the fire doors were closed. The room had an armoire built into the wall next to the window. There was either a light at the top or it let light in from outside - it was too tall for me to tell - and the room was never dark. I didn’t sleep well. The hotel is in the east end of town by a truck stop and I-70. You need a car to get into town. The intersection is pretty beaten up by trucks coming through at all times. Freeway noise was constant but bearable.

The breakfast was very good with many different items to pick.

They could have informed me that house keeping only cleaned every other day. When my room was not cleaned the day after I checked in I went to the front desk and talked to the manager she offered to hand me clean towels and toiletries. I refused that wasn’t my job. I asked for my room and coworkers rooms to be cleaned for the rest of our stay. The day before we checked out our rooms were not cleaned. I let the manager know the next morning and she gave a look like she didn’t care.

It was under construction. Our room had apparently been redone, but the cleanup wasn’t done well. They charged me for an extra night that they shouldn’t have, and still not fixed it even though it’s been communicated. The staff didn’t greet us promptly, and generally was not very responsive. We usually prefer a Hampton over the other chains, but when I go to call me next time, we’ll go somewhere else.

The property was under full renovation on the ground floor - front desk closed for a while, dirt and debris everywhere, no easy way to get from the elevator to our cars. This event was not noted on the HiltonHhonors website.

Three things were solid about this location. The bed, the breakfast, and the proximity to the highway were all excellent.

The location appears old. The rooms are smaller than I'm used to when staying in hotels. The vibe of the place feels more like a modern motel than a hotel. The shower was okay, but hot water did not last very long.
